Rob Reiner (1947-) is an American actor, writer, director, producer, and activist. His IMDb page shows over different credits since 1961. This page will rank all of Rob Reiner directed movies and our personal Top 10 Reiner movie acting roles. Movies will be ranked from Best to Worst in six different sortable columns of information. Television shows, shorts, cameos and movies that were not released in theaters were not included in the rankings.
Drivel part of the page: Seems like just yesterday when television actors “Meathead” and “Opie” were considered the top two directors working. Things have slowed down for Rob Reiner and Ron Howard over the last 10 years but we still consider ourselves huge fans of both directors. We wrote a Ron Howard page years ago…and finally we are doing a page on Rob Reiner. But be aware there are R.O.U.S.s ahead…and Rodents Of Unusual Size really do exist!

Hey Harold…..you are % correct…..I need to update Reiner’s latest movie…thanks for the heads up.
Hey Harold…Being Charlie is now on the Reiner page.
Wow I did not realize that he had such a long streak of unsuccessful movies. 20 years since Amer.Presd. just does not seem it was that long ago. Although he might be in a dry spell now, his career is loaded with some really awesome movies. Intersting page to read.
Hey Stein…sorry somehow I missed your comment. Yep it has been over 20 years since his last critical and box office hit….The Bucket List did well at box office…but got some pretty bad reviews. Flipped got good reviews but nobody saw that one. Hoping he bounces back soon. Thanks for stopping by.
Hi
It’s been a few years since I seen a Rob Reiner movie. I’ve yet to see his last big hit, The Bucket List. But from the late 80s to mid 90s, he had a great run of success. A Few Good Men must contain Jack Nicolson’s most famous line, “You can’t handle the truth!”
Misery, Cathy Bates winning the Oscar that year. And of course the famous cafe scene in When Harry Met Sally. The American President has been mentioned, I enjoyed it, I felt it had a real capra touch about it. In the 90s, there were 3 great movies about the presidency, Dave, American President and Primary Colors. I’ve always enjoyed political movies and I think these 3 captured essence very well.
There’s no doubt Reiner is a very talented guy and hopefully have another smash hit before long.
Hey Chris. Reiner and Howard used to be the best directors working. I really liked that because I felt connected to them because of their television shows I used to watch all the time. Seeing Opie and Meathead conquering the film world was awesome.
The movie I think is Reiner’s best work since The American President is Flipped. A very well done movie that is never even got a chance to be seen. The wife loves The American President….it is her “feel good” movie….she probably watches it 3 times a year.
Dave and The American President almost seem related….here in the states you can even buy a dual dvd with both of those movies. As always thanks for sharing your movie thoughts.
