2019 Movies Can Be Ranked 6 Ways In This Table

The really cool thing about this table is that it is “user-sortable”. Rank the movies anyway you want.

    • Sort 2019 Movies by the star or stars of the 2019 Movies listed in table
    • Sort 2019 Movies by domestic box office grosses
    • Sort 2019 Movies by wordwide box office grosses
    • Sort by how 2019 Movies were received by critics and audiences.  60% rating or higher should indicate a good movie.
    • Sort by how many Oscar® nominations and how many Oscar® wins each 2019 Movies received….this column will remain 00 / 00 until next February.
    • Sort 2019 Movies by Ultimate Movie Ranking (UMR) Score.  UMR puts box office, reviews and awards into a mathematical equation and gives each movie a score.
    • Green highlight means the movie is still in theaters and still earning UMR points

That’s 138 by my count and I have a few others around on DVD to watch. Some of these I’ve even seen on TV already.

    1. Hey Dan……number 169 is now listed….the movie was there…just the rankings were off a little….that is one of the glitches on the website…when a new movie is added to a table…it sometimes takes many complete website updates before the table rankings gets back in line. And with this page…it happens all the time with 3 to 4 new movies being added weekly. Wow….and I was impressed with me being of 70….and you have me nearly doubled with 138. You are a movie watching machine. Good stuff…thanks for sharing this information.

  2. Bruce you’ve more than doubled my tally for the year 2019 – So far I’ve seen 34 of the 205 films on the chart. There’s still a bunch there I want to see when they’re available for home viewing.

I saw Joker recently, good film but too downbeat for repeat viewings from me. Excellent performance by Joaquin Phoenix, worthy of an Oscar nomination.

My favorite film of the year? Has to be Avengers Endgame, surely. Yep I confess I’m Team Marvel not Team Scorsese. No film snob I. Nein nein nein! I refuse to turn in my film buff badge… oh alright take it. I don’t need no stinking badges! 🙂

    1. Hey Steve…..I have enjoyed updating this page……at one time Glass with Bruce Willis was number one….now months later it is barely holding on to the Top 25. Thanks for the mini-review on Joker…..which will probably end up being number one when this page finally shuts the doors…as I suspect it is going to get some serious Oscar and Golden Globe love. Good to know you enjoyed Joaquin as Joker. Not sure when I will see it…..but it is high on my must watch list. Endgame, Ford v Ferrari and Once Upon A Time In Hollywood would be my current Top 3. Once Upon has risen in quality since my viewing….I have not seen The Irishman or Joker….which is on many people’s Top Movie of 2019 list. As for badges….you will always have a film buff badge in my mind…so keep on truckin’ Team Lensman!
