  1. Lilly Gladstone was robbed ! She was only the second indigenous woman to be nominated for Best Actress in more than one-hundred years. Contrary to the media, the first was Mexican indigenous actress Yalitza Aparicio for Roma in 2018. Some people still believe that America is one country instead of a continent. Indigenous representation in film and television continues to be miniscule. Killers of the Yellow Moon is the first film since Dances with Wolves in 1990 to bring significant focus on the indigenous experience.
In addition, Latinos, who make up more than 20% of the nation’s population is almost invisible in film and television. America Ferrera’s nomination was long overdue.
Rita Moreno was a presenter, but the Tequila guy is not an actor or in the film industry!
Congrats to Cillian Murphy and Oppenheimer!
