My search for classic box office grosses takes me to the Doheny Memorial Library on the campus of the University of Southern California.  I will have gone from the Atantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean in this quest.  USC is the home of the William Schaefer Warner Brothers ledgers which has box office grosses from the early 1920s to the 1950s. My appointment is between 10 AM and 4 PM on September 21st…that is west coast time.
