Why I watched this one? The wife requested to be taken to this movie. And the saying…”Happy Wife…Happy Life”….is good way to go through life.
What is this one about? Based on a true story. A team of African-American women provide NASA with important mathematical data needed to launch the program’s first successful space missions.
My thoughts on this one? A very entertaining movie….and one that really opened my eyes. The movie takes place in Hampton, Virginia….which is only about 15 minutes from my house. Heck the main character in the movie…is still alive and just minutes from where my wife works…..talk about not knowing local history….I knew nothing about this story.
As for the movie? Great story, great performances and a lively pace. Movie even squeezes out drama for known historic events…like John Glenn’s trip around Earth. Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Kevin Costner and Janelle Monáe are outstanding in the movie. Jim Parsons also does well in a supporting role. Final thought: A movie that needs to be seen by everybody.

Wow two movies at the theater in two days….we have not done that in awhile…plus we paid for the little ones to see Sing….so that is actually 3 movies in 2 days.
