A few years ago, we did our version of a Danny Peary Cult Movie Volume 4 list. We included 50 movies that he might have included if he had ever written a new Cult Movie 4 book.
We included links to trailers for all 50 movies we picked. Well that good idea, turned out to make the page very very difficult to upload when trying to see our page. Despite a couple of readers suggesting we split the page into two parts…we avoided doing that. Well today….since our beach resort area is covered with 10 inches of snow, we finally decided to split that page into two.

Three of my favorite movie authors/critics are the Roger Ebert, Danny Peary and the late Joel Hirschhorn (Sorry Bob). When trying to find my UMR Danny Peary page, I googled it and found this article pop up.

The last question in the interview with Danny Peary mentions our UMR Cult Movie page. Needless to say……UMR getting mentioned on RogerEbert.com in an interview with Danny Peary has made our day get much better. Hard to believe it took us two years to find this nice little treasure. Maybe we should google UMR.com more.

Hey Taylor….highly suggest checking out some of his books. My favorite and the ones I recommend are his Cult Movie books Volumes 1, 2 and 3. He also has an Alternate Oscar book that is really fun to read. Thanks for the kind words about us picking The Room as one of our Cult Movie Volume 4 movies.

Hey SteinHoF ’16…..well…..it is better late than never. I agree your suggestion was a very wise one…..plus 8 of the trailers were no longer valid….so I had to go and find new trailers…..but now the pages load up faster….and all the movies have trailers again. As for the snow….drive-in is almost clear…actually got the car out…..so now all we have to do is wait for the snow to melt.
Patting ourselves on the back. When we wrote this page. The Room was a little known movie. Today The Room is a very popular movie….and if The Disaster Artist gets a lot of Oscar nominations it will get even more popular. Think we picked a good movie for our Cult Movie Volume 4 list when we picked The Room.
