1 Good rundown of the all time worldwide box office hits that you could get figures for.
I’ll need to go through the list in detail but first impressions are that it supports my long held contention that based on the evidence to date foreign markets are much more buoyant today than they were in the classic era.
2 All ranking lists of top box stars that I’ve seen are based on domestic grosses only. I therefore conclude that in the almost impossible situation where we have someday complete adjusted WW figures for EVERY star’s movies modern stars would be giving the likes of the Duke and Gable etc a run for their money as to who are the greatest ticket sellers of all time and guys like Harrison Ford, Hanks, Cruise and Dem’s ex coming out on top perhaps. And to think that there are those who still insist that Mr Willis-Moore does not deserve to be in the Top 25 greatest male stars from 1950 – 2010 – Philistines!
