So last night I finished listening to Sir Roger Moore’s DVD commentary of Live and Let Die. On my letterboxd review (now on our UMR Live and Let Die page) I shared the items I felt most interesting. Well point #7 was this story from Sir Roger.
7) Moore told a funny story of an unnamed co-star who accidently fired a pistol near his head and burned his hair……then when the star gave the makeup lady a hard time. Moore asked….”Why are you so harsh to the crew?” The unknown star said “I did not come to Hollywood to make friends with people…I came to be the greatest actor ever.” Moore then said…”Well since you failed so miserably at the acting part….why not be nicer to the crew?”
Moore did not share who the other actor was…..but it got me thinking…….who could it be? Any guesses?
I could see Richard Burton being mean to a crew member.
Funny. Looking at his IMDB account. I have three guesses. Richard Burton, Burt Reynolds or Tony Curtis.
Hey Taylor….thanks for the guesses…..of your three….Richard Burton seems to be the best bet. Not thinking Reynolds or Curtis every thought of themselves as great actors. I have been doing some research….and so far…your guess of Burton seems to be the leading contender….but sadly I think the truth might never be known…thanks again.
