March 9th – Celebrating 8 years of movie blogging.

     We starting writing about movies in 2011.  First there was Hub Pages.  That was followed by CogersonMovieScore.com.  On March 9th, 2015 we started UltimateMovieRankings.com.  Originally the page was going to be called UltimateMovieRanker.com….but turns out that was too close to sounding like UltimateMovieWanker – thanks Steve.

     The first page was a Leonard Nimoy memorial page (carried over from CogersonMovieScore), the first new page was on Irene Dunne.  WoC did the first “test” comment.  Steve Lensman provided the first “real” comment.  

     Over the years we have received lots of comments and views.  We should reach the 18 million mark in views tomorrow.  We have written 4,599 pages and 1,205 posts over the years.  That is almost 6,000 items that get views on the internet.    Earlier this year we published our first UMR book.  Not too bad for a former career grocery man.

     All of these stats and accomplishments would have never happened without the many people that encouraged me to continue. That includes, but not limited to, WoC, my family, the HubPage community and the UMR Hall of Fame contributors. Thanks for all the support!

    Bravo, and i love very much to come a lot to read the pages the news and the olders and the others comments from Steve to Flora and Lupino to Dan , Laurent of course and all the Bob, I was glad to read from Chris again.

    1. Thank you Pierre. It has been a fun ride….and yesterday we reached 18 million views…..so it has been a much more popular ride than I ever thought possible. I agree the UMR Hall of Famers make the site so much better. Good to know you have some good wine in your hand.
