  1. My thoughts found on Steve’s latest video.

Wow….Flora has seen 38 of these movies…with her being at 40 by the end of the week. I thought my total of 23 was decent….now I hide my face in shame….lol. #25 Northwest Passage was one of my dad’s Top 5 All-Time movies….so glad to see that listed here. #6 Mrs. Miniver is a great look at England during the beginning of World War 2…..it was a box office smash, loved by audiences and critics, won the Best Picture Oscar….not sure any movie buffs have missed this classic movie…..do you?….lol. #1 The Wizard of Oz….my grandmother’s all-time favorite movie. When she passed away…her VHS collection was just two movies….The African Queen and The Wizard of Oz. Added family history….my grandmother had first editions of the books the Wizard of Oz were based on….that was actually a series of books. Ok enough about my relatives….my Top 3 would be #13 The Good Earth….could they make this movie today with the same cast in the same roles? #17 After The Thin Man….in my mind…the best of the Thin Man movie….plus you get J.S. in a rare bad guy role and #1 The Wizard of Oz…my 3D Blu-Ray looks amazing. Good video. Voted up and shared as Post of the Day on UMR.

    1. Great post Bruce thanks, appreciate the vote and share.

I thought old Stothart deserved a video, not usually as well known as the others of that period. He composed the music for an impressive range of movies.

Your tally of 23 easily beats my 16, Flora well ahead with an impressive 38 out of 40.

      1. Hey Steve….I know this has to be a proud day for you….having a Video as our Post of the Day….lol. Your recent videos, have showed me that I have almost completely ignored the composer’s impact on a movie…..just shows you can learn new stuff about movies all the time. Good stuff.
