I love Alice Faye
You are just soooooooo awesome dad
I’ve seen 4 Alice Faye movies, they are – In Old Chicago, The Gang’s All Here, Weekend in Havana and That Night in Rio. I may have seen more, very likely, but those are the films I remember for sure.
Fox’s In Old Chicago was a big hit back then, but was it bigger than MGM’s San Francisco released a year earlier?
Hmm are you sure that’s the correct release date for In Old Chicago? I have it listed as a 1938 film in my database, and IMDB has 1938 too.
Good stuff Bruce, Vote Up!
Hey Steve….as Flora pointed out….I left Alexander’s Ragtime Band was left off the list….it is now her #1 movie….and gets my tally count to 2. I am betting it would move your tally count to 5. Either way…our combined total would still trail Flora’s total of 10. San Francisco has over $100 million edge over In Old Chicago….but both were monster hits of the 1930s. As for the year of In Old Chicago….you appeared to be correct. I will fix that issue right away. I use IMDb’s date…so not sure how I got the 1937 year. Good catch….and good stuff.
