UMR Review of Mulan (2020)

On the good side, the movie looks awesome.   Set design, costumes and shooting locations are truly impressive.  Sadly, there is lots on the negative side.  Those that love the original Disney animated movie will be disappointed with the subtraction of some major characters.  While they will not be impressed with the new characters added to the story.  The action scenes seem like bad CGI, which is amazing for a movie that cost so much.  Movie is way too serious and is sadly missing the humor in the animated classic.  The grand finale seemed to borrow heavily from a movie called Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins.  In the end this was a disappointment. 2.5 stars out of 5.0.
