UMR Review Of Between Two Ferns: The Movie (2019)

When the movie featured Zach Galifianakis interacting with celebrities, this movie made me laugh numerous times. Highlights would be when Matthew McConaughey, Brie Larson, Paul Rudd, Peter Dinklage, David Letterman, and Bruce Willis, Keanu Reeves, Will Ferrell, and Benedict Cumberbatch show up in the movie. The end credit gag reel is also a blast to watch. The movie stumbles when it becomes a road movie with Zach and three of his friends. Those scenes are pretty bad and make the 82 minute run time seem like it was a 2 plus hour movie. Final thought: Not many movies make me laugh…this one did numerous times. Just realize you have to wade through some bad stuff to get to the good stuff.
