UMR Review Of Finch

This was the 54th Tom Hanks movie that I have seen. The only Hanks movie I have not seen is his appearance in last year’s Borat movie. This one will have you thinking about Hanks’ Castaway. This time instead of a volleyball as a companion, he has two robots and a dog. Sadly, it is nowhere as entertaining as the previous mentioned movie.

The best part of the movie is Jeff, one of the robots which is voiced by Caleb Landry Jones. Hanks is as always very good in the movie, though his character is not really very likeable. My kids did not like him at all in this movie. Although the movie has some parts I really enjoyed, the final product was somewhat disappointing. At times I felt the movie dragged. There are some dramatic scenes near the end of the movie, that seemed to go on forever. In the end, I am glad I watched it, but it will not go down as one of my favorite Tom movies.
