It wasn’t a big hit with a US adjusted gross of $61.9 but would have been an important milestone in Richard’s career at the time
as it was one of the few films in which Richard was the main leading man of a major Hollywood female star and he got equal billing to her above the title on the screen and posters.
The movie was nominated for an award by the Writers Guild of America in 1957.
Richard Conte was # 503 on the very first Oracle of Bacon list back in 2000. He then fell off. Richard is the # 265 most connected actor of the 190’s and the # 357 most connected of the 1960’s.
