HI BIG! Thanks for the multiple replies to my own posts. It’s always good to know what you are thinking.
In the interview with Willis that I read he claimed that when they were shooting Die Hard 1988 there was no talk or concept of it being a Christmas movie; but then the publicity boys and the money men at the studio hijacked it and the Christmas-sell hype began.
So if what Brucie says is correct – and heck HE was there: you and Steve were not – John would not have regarded as a Christmas one the movie that he was making
As you know from the gaslighting that politicians get away with there are many people who will believe almost anything that ‘authority figures’ and the media tell them; so that influential guys like you and Steve telling fans of your respective sites that DH 88 is a Xmas movie is bound to have duped a lot of additional people into believing that fable –
for example those poor souls who think that Myrna Loy could open a movie at the box office on the strength of her own name,
But as Lee J Cobb or – was it Ed Begley? – said in 12 Angry Men when Fonda kept resisting the lynch-mob mentality of the other 11 jurors “Boy oh boy there’s always ONE!!” and in this case there is ONE wise owl on your site who doesn’t buy the Die Hard 88 Christmas gaslighting. Modesty forbids me to name that ONE!
Anyway have a good New Year and my best wishes for more success in 2023 for the entire Team Cogerson and family connections. All of you have well-earned it.
