Movies Cogerson Saw In Theaters

The tables below highlight the films that motivated me to venture out of my home and head to the cinema for a viewing. Are these all the movies? Certainly not! Yet, they likely encompass around 95% of them. What’s remarkable is how contemplating certain films triggers a “thread of a memory.” These recollections include the individuals I watched the movie with, the location, any noteworthy experiences during the viewing, and my overall opinion of the film. I doubt this will captivate anyone unrelated to me, but delving into decades of movie-watching experiences proved to be an enjoyable exercise.

This was my record keeping system BEFORE Letterbxd.com. Kept this book going until the mid 1990s. *Means I saw the movie in theaters.

    • Sort by the star or stars of the movies listed in table
    • Sort by domestic box office grosses
    • Sort by worldwide box office grosses
    • Sort by were received by critics and audiences.  60% rating or higher should indicate a good movie.
    • Sort by how many Oscar® nominations and how many Oscar® wins each received
    • Sort by Ultimate Movie Ranking (UMR) Score.  UMR puts box office, reviews and awards into a mathematical equation and gives each movie a score.
    • Green highlight means the movie is still in theaters and still earning UMR points
