  1. Hello Coge! It has taken me forever to find the exact hub where you sent me the link to this! Seriously, I had no idea that Murray appeared in so many movies! I simply never would have guessed it. I do however remember a very long time ago, one of my friends telling me that Bill totally blew her away in “Lost in Translation.” She had me so interested and curious, I always meant to watch it. If you recall, I don’t go out to see movies when they’re released. I wait until I happen to trip over one on TV. Once in a while I’ll rent one or better yet, borrow from the library.
I’ve always figured…if it’s that great of a movie, it will still be by the time I see it! Glad I found you. Hope all is going well for you. Your girls must be growing into young ladies by now…..Stay healthy and happy, Coge. Miss you!!

    1. Hey Paula….glad you were able to find my new website. Many people think Murray was never better than he was in Lost in Translation. I am not in that boat. The movie is ok…..and Murray is fine in the role…but overall….if I had to rewatch a Bill Murray….I would pick 7 or 8 others to watch before I would pick Lost in Translation. The power of the library. I would say about 80% of the movies I watch come from my local libraries.

As for the girls….they are growing up fast. Now 8 and 6. The 8 year old will 9 in a couple of months and a 4th grader….it is scary how fast they are growing up. Your fpherj48 comment live on in this website….as I have been bringing them over. Thanks for all the great comments over the years.

  2. I love so many of his films but The Razor’s Edge is by far my favorite and really speaks to me. I save it to watch once a year, right around 4th of July, and usually alone.

    1. Hey Rick…..I am glad you liked The Razor’s Edge….I am not thinking too many people have The Razor’s Edge as their top Bill Murray fan. Murray is very proud of that movie. It has been years since I saw that one. Actually since seeing Bill’s Razor’s Edge I have seen Tyrone Power’s Razor’s Edge….maybe it is time to revisit the Bill version….so I compare the two movies. Thanks for the comment.

  3. It’s years since I seen Tootsie and I always remember Jessica Lang winning Best Supporting Actress. But I cannot remember Murray in the film so I must look it up again. But I do remember him in Groundhog Day, What about Bob and Lost in Translation. All 3 films were great. I think Murray, like most comic actors, is overlooked by the Academy. I haven’t seen St. Vincent yet but I see it got great reviews.

    1. Hey Chris. Bill plays Hoffman’s roommate….and like most Bill Murray movies he has some of the best lines in the movie. Groundhog Day is a classic….I have not seen it again since Harold Ramis passed away. I should do that soon. St. Vincent is ok….but Murray is excellent. Thanks for checking out my Murray page. Your Monty Clift page has been posted.

    1. Over at my soon to be old site I do list what is coming next. I have a Montgomery Clift page coming out tomorrow. Then I was going to do a current performer. Then it is between Bob Hope and Shirley Temple. So Sophia is on the list…but it might be awhile before I get to her….plus I will have to concentrate on her American movies….as many of her early films never reached American theaters. This link shows my most current pages….and a list of pages coming…at the bottom. I will get a page here soon. http://cogersonmoviescore.com/
