  1. 60 films for chrissakes! Alec has been busy! And busy on TV too lampooning the US President.

I’ve seen 25 of the 60 films listed, not bad I suppose but I suspect Bruce has seen a lot more.

Last Tango in Paris is Baldwin’s favorite movie? Are you kidding me? If you’re going to pick a Brando movie pick The Godfather or On the Waterfront not – ‘Mr. Mumbles, a Girl and a Stick of Butter’ – which I have to admit is a better title for it. 🙂

The Departed no.1 on the UMR, it’s not my favorite Scorsese movie but better than most of the films on Baldwin’s resume.

Glengarry Glen Ross tops the critics chart, an acting masterclass by everyone involved. I have a copy on DVD somewhere. Actually it was free inside one of our newspapers, the Daily Mail I believe. There was a time years ago when we were getting free DVDs every weekend inside various newspapers here in the UK. I picked up quite a few.

Beetlejuice is probably my most watched Alec Baldwin movie, and I’ve seen Hunt For Red October a few times too.

    Good work Bruce. Voted Up!

    1. Hey Steve
      1. As always thanks for the visit and sharing your movie thoughts on Baldwin.
      2. You are correct I have seen a lot of his movies…all the way to 49 or almost 82% of his movies. Shocking since I do not think I am a huge Baldwin fan. I guess I just watch a ton of movies.
      3. I bet Bob thinks his pick of Last Tango in Paris is a wise one. Actually with Baldwin getting such good notices for playing the Brando role in Streetcar Named Desire…I am surprised that one is not his favorite.
      4. I am right there with you about The Departed…I have always thought that was very overrated.
      5. Free DVDs with the newspaper….gotta love that….that has never happened here.
      6. Beetlejuice and The Hunt For Red October are the ones I watch the most. Almost watched Beetlejuice last night but Honeymoon in Vegas won that fight….lol.
      7. If you have not watched State and Main I would recommend that one…a very entertaining movie.
FYI….Bruce Willis was pretty much playing Baldwin in What Just Happened. I forgot to include that in the interesting facts.
      🙂

      1. State and Main wasn’t free with any newspapers so I missed that one. [wink] I’ll look out for it next time it comes on TV Bruce. I’m actually in the mood to watch Glengarry Glen Ross again, it’s been years. What was that other one with Spacey as a horrible boss? Forgot the title.

        1. Hey Steve that would be Swimming With Sharks. A very good movie almost nobody remembers. Love the ending. WoC hates that movie…it should be noted.

          1. That’s the one. Spacey was so evil and nasty to that poor guy, the boss from hell. When they later decided to make a comedy called Horrible Bosses they had to hire Spacey as one of the bosses. 🙂

    1. Hey Dan ….I figured it was….. now the question is which Richard are they looking for. Without looking it up I would guess Burton, Nixon, Gere or is it about Shakespeare’s Richard III. Heck it will probably end up being Richard Roundtree…lol. 🙂

  2. I believe Looking for Richard is a documentary. I remember when I sent you the new list they posted in March I mention Mr. Oliveira fell off. I only added to my files the 15 or so new people that made the list because there isn’t much change. If I did the whole top 1000 people for Mr. Baldwin the list would go on forever. Alec apparently hasn’t had the honor to work with Danny Trejo or Samuel L. Jackson yet.

    1. Hey Dan. I agree his list with the Top 1000 would be very very long. Actually very surprised he has not worked with Samuel L. Jackson.

    1. Hey Dan
      1. You are right it has been a long time since one of your comments like this.
      2. First list….Joseph O. from 14th to gone? that seems strange. Maybe he was one of those extras that could not verify his IMDb credits.
      3. Hard to believe that only Dafoe is the only one from The Aviator to be on the Top 100…then again Leo does not make many movies.
      4. Lots of known names but lots of “who”s.
      5. 40 Oscar winners is pretty good especially since his career really got going in the late 1980s.
      6. Looking for Richard? Is that a documentary?
      Thanks for sharing this information.

      1. Besides Willem and Alec there are 9 others from The Aviator on the top 1000

        218 John C. Reilly
        230 Danny Huston
        242 Joe Chrest
        310 Edward Herrmann
        331 Cate Blanchett
        362 Leonardo Dicaprio
        374 Jude Law
        436 Ian Holm
        595 Vincent Laresca

Kenneth Welsh and Martin Scorsese himself were on in 2014 but felt off. I have no idea what Mr.’s Welsh, Laresca or Chrest look like, although I think Mr. Chrest is recognizable, one of those faces you can’t place the name of.
