  1. I have not seen any of these movies, which I deem to be a failure on Cogerson’s part. Luckily, summer is coming, which means I have lots of time to watch all his great movies!

    1. Hey Katie….I have failed….can you ever forgive me? We will have to watch Psycho in the near future. It most be hard walking around and not knowing who Norman Bates is….besides as television show.

  2. Another good one. Psycho was a very movie – as I mentioned Janet Leigh said she never took a shower again!!! I saw that in 1960. The Black Hole was on TV a couple of months ago and I watched it once again. He played a pretty good role in Ffolkes – a bad guy. That was a good movie as well. Some of his movies have been missed by me. THANK YOU!

    1. Hey BERN1960…..I imagine Psycho scared lots of people into taking baths. I think we saw The Black Hole at theaters together….as that seems like a movie that would have interested dad. Thanks as always for stopping by and commenting.

  3. Is it just me or does Andrew Garfield look like he was separated at birth from Anthony Perkins?

  4. “We all go a little mad sometimes. Haven’t you?” I’ve seen Hitchcock’s Psycho so many times I’ve practically memorized it. Nice work Bruce. Plenty of facts and stats on Tony Perkins here. I’ve seen 10 of the 33 films you’ve listed. Good to see Psycho at the top the moviescore charts. I don’t think I’ve seen Friendly Persuasion. I’m still waiting for The Black Hole to get a blu-ray release. Didn’t know Perkins was a big Elvis fan and his fan was in Star Trek. I can’t quite picture Norman Bates in Some Like it Hot. Voted Up.

      1. Hey Steve…got it. You know the next time I watch Star Trek I will be keeping an eye open for Oz Perkins.

    1. You know when I was putting the movies into the database….I saw that Friendly Persuasion was close to Psycho. I thought “Steve will toast Cogerson Movie Score like a marshmallow at a camp fire if Psycho does not come up on top.”….I had my defense ready…..Friendly Persuasion got Perkins his only Oscar nomination…it is Perkin’s 4th biggest box office hit…..the only Perkins movie to pick up a Best Picture Oscar nomination….and led the way with 6 Oscar nominations…..not that you would have bought that……lol. Glad Psycho ended up first. Well we are tied at 10 in the Perkins tally count. Not sure we ended up tied before. Thanks as always…for the comment and the visit.

  5. Nice selection. I have to admit I had no idea he had done so many movies. My dad used to love Catch-22. Funny I do not even remember his role in that one. I saw The Black Hole in theaters when I was 7. It is actually one of the first movies I remember. My final confession will be that I have not seen any of Pyscho movies. I have heard of them I just have never taken the time to watch any of them.

    1. Hey Timlin33…..let’s see. Perkins has a small but memorable role in Catch-22. He plays the chaplain…Capt. Fr. A.T. Tappman in that one. The movie is filled with many memorable roles…my favorite is Orson Welles. I saw The Black Hole in theaters too. I was older than you but I still liked the movie. It was Disney’s first attempt to cash in on the Star Wars craze. Somewhere along the line they figured it was easier just to the buy the franchise….lol. Wow….I do not think there are too many film fans that have not seen Psycho. Hitchcock’s Psycho is a classic…..part two is entertaining…..part 3 is weak….and I never saw the television movie. Thanks for stopping by.
