    1. Hey Dan….thanks for the list of Oscar winning stars that Roy Webb worked with. 7 John Wayne movies….with Hattie MacDonald being right behind him with 6 movies. Good trivia!

  2. My tally for Roy Webb movies is not too impressive. Favorites include #11 My Favorite Wife….Grant and Dunne shine, #10 Marty….Ernie shines, #3 Out of the Past…film noir classiic, #2 Notorious…one of Hitch’s best movies, #1 Bringing Up Baby…the movie that made me a Cary Grant fan. #15 Crossfire….the three Roberts shine. #34 Track of the Cat….good but depressing. Overall I have seen 14 of these movies. Did not really like The Sea Chase or Blood Alley….and I am a huge John Wayne fan. Good video. Voted up and shared at UMR.

    1. Hi Bruce, thanks for commenting on my Roy Webb video, appreciate the vote and share. Glad the top two films here are favorites of yours and starring one of your favorite actors, Archibald Leach, as Bob refers to him. Your tally 14, I’ve seen 22 and Flora beats us both with 26.

  3. Nice new video….boy did he have a long and successful career. Seen 41 of these movies….and had no idea. Shocked he was behind #27 Heavy Metal….a fun movie that is hardly talked about these days. Lots and lots of favorites here. Just in the Top 10…we have Ghostbusters. The Great Escape, The Magny 7, To Kill A Mockingbird and The Shootist. Never a huge fan of #2 Sweet Smell of Success. Other favorites would include…#11 An American Werewolf in London, #16 Trading Places, #32 Stripes and #39 Kings of Suns. I am impressed with the wide variety of genres he worked in….truly impressive…as is this video. Voted up and shared.

    1. Elmer Bernstein was one of the greats, like you say such a varied range of films. I enjoyed his modern comedy themes too, check out the lengthy quote I posted in my reply to Bob’s review at the UMR. 41 watched out of 42 is excellent, which one did you miss? My tally 32 and Flora 22. Thanks again Bruce for the vote, share and comment.

      1. Glad to help…though it looks like we are getting to the point that you need to help me….lol. Congrats on your success.
