1. I’m shocked I’ve posted so many comments. When did I find the time? Maybe Bruce counted the comments I did at Hubpages too?

   Bruce, wow, 13k plus comments well done sir, and I was grumbling that you’re not spending much time here, more comments than all of us put together. 🙂

   Bob, nipping at my heels, you might have been in second place if you hadn’t used about a dozen different aliases. [wink]

   1. Hey Steve….you are a comment posting machine….I think you have done a comment on 99.50% of the pages. Yes some of the comments are from not only your HubPage days but the short lived CogersonMovieScore.com days. We have a new 3rd place person….as I combined all the Flora and Flora Breen Robison. I think if I did the same with Bob and his 1000 different names your top spot (not counting me) might be in jeopardy.

      Glad you see….that I do in fact comment on a regular basis….if you take the number 2 through 15 you have have 8,450 comments….or 5,176 comments behind me.

      Thanks for all the comments over the years….you are the man.

   This year it was the Olympic Games and you have got the gold the silver and the bronze medals…
   Bravo for your comments but when I read for Cogerson all the numbers of comments he made
   Hé is really the big boss and in the mean time i can tell that i read all the comment of everybody from Lupino to Dan and Chris and Laurent Bern1960 to Helakoski and SteinHoF16 , etc ….and really i never imagine there was so many comments because i like all the comments so i think to myself « What a beautiful site « and sure we love movie, all of us.

Hey Pierre….originally the plan was to respond to every comment posted on the webpage….gotta admit…as the site gets more and more views….I am finding it much more difficult to do that….as some days it is taking 3 to 4 hours to respond. But the comments are a big part of the success of the page…….I remember a funny cartoon I saw years ago….it said….”I love the internet…..it is where all my friends live”….the friendships made here and pretty awesome….and one of my favorite parts of the website. I agree…..we all indeed love movies. Thanks for the feedback.

Hey SteinHoF16….actually after reading your comment…I went back and merged all of your Stein, SteinHoF16 comments…so your total nearly doubled….and you moved into the Top 10…..so I think you have earned your Hall of Fame status. While doing that “comment merge”….I found one of your comments that made me laugh then and now.

   1 Thanks to the explanation.

   2 I am quite content for Steve to be above me in the rankings for if he hints again about “time wasting” I’ll be able to say “Hey! who writes the more on this site?” However I’ll need to be careful that I don’t cut off my nose to spite my face as I really enjoy his comments.

   3 By the way I think I only started using Bob Roy instead of just Bob when I noticed that Bob Cox appeared on the site and apart from avoiding confusion I didn’t want him to get credit for some of my work – though I wouldn’t mind getting praise for a lot of his!

   1. Hey Bob….it is a fun list…..you, me, Steve and Flora are in the 1000 comment club….Dan is coming on strong in joining the club. All the comments have always amazed me. Many times I read a wonderful article online and notice either there is no place to comment or nobody has left a comment. Makes me appreciate the comments we get even more.

      Makes sense about changing your name…though Bob Cox usually shows up as lower case box cox. I think Phil and Stein would be higher ranked too…if they had the same name…but Stein talked Phil into using the HoF mark….which I personally get a kick out of. I wonder who will join the Cogerson HoF in 2018….In The Shadows? Taylor? Mike? Good feedback as always.

5. 1 It’s good to be one of the Top 4 big hitters among commenters on a very popular site such as this one that draws so many comments and to be in such esteemed company as the likes of Flora, Steve and Cthulhu himself!

   2 However just as I think rankings like those of Myrna and Walter Brennan should be weighted to reflect magnitude of direct contribution perhaps the Commenters’ league should also be weighted in accordance with quality rather than quantity, in which case I would most likely come 2nd to only Flora!

   3 However credit has to be given to the statistical ability to extract the figures that are listed and I also praise the hard work that has clearly gone into the exercise.

   1. Your totals would be even higher if you only used one name……your Bob to Steve, Bob to Bruce, Bob Roy, Robert Roy and Robert Roy. also have many comments. Possibly even taking out Steve Lensman for the second spot. Nice compliment to Flora.

      I discovered this “comment tally widget” while trying to create moderators for the website…..that mission failed….but this is a nice way to put the spot light on the people that have been so good to this website. Thank you.

            1. Your comment tally is now 1640…..the comments from Hub Pages were listed as “Flora”….so I just went and changed all those comments to Flora Breen Robison….some of those comments were written over 7 years ago….talk about time flying. So you have passed Bob and have third place.

         2. On the daily post….I included the numbers…..but we plan on keeping the Top UMR Commenters on the right for a very long time…..sorry Bob…but Flora has now bumped you off the medal platform.
