Funny Girl would be her second biggest box office hit of her career and win her the Oscar® for Best Actress. The peak of her movie career was from 1968 to 1979. She would appear in the blockbusters What’s Up Doc?, A Star Is Born, Funny Girl and The Way We Were. In 1983 she started to direct her own movies and had great success with Yentl and The Prince of Tides. After nearly a ten year break from movies, she appeared as Ben Stiller’s mom in 2004’s Meet the Fockers and 2010’s Little Fockers and most recently as Seth Rogen’s mom in The Guilt Trip (2012)

Hey Sunshine625, Poseidon Adventure is a great disaster movie, actually one of the first ones….I wonder if it will even crack Hackman’s top ten when I finish that movie page….as always thanks for your comments
I have not seen any of her movies that I am aware of, but I will say that I found her interesting facts, indeed interesting. I had know idea her movies were so popular, 3 movies over 300 million, half of her performances getting Golden Globe nominations, and Oscar love as well 44 nominations in 19 movies is pretty impressive. I can see why the Barbara band wagon is so full, although I will remain off that band wagon. Voted up and interesting.
