His IMDb page shows 64 acting credits from 1982-2017. This page will rank 41 Ben Affleck movies from Best to Worst in six different sortable columns of information. Cameos, television appearances, straight to DVD movies and shorts were not included in the rankings.

  1. Hi Cogerson

I really did like Ben Affleck in Armageddon.

I havent seen him in Argo but I’ve heard that it is good.

I also like Ben in Daredevil despite some of the negative

feedback he has received for that movie role.

    thanks. Voted up and Shared.

    1. Hey torrilynn….writing this page got me motivated to watch Armageddon again myself….this time I was watching it with my 6 year old daughter….so the ending with Bruce and Liv Tyler was actually kinda of emotional(in a manly type of way….lol). Ben does a good job as well in the movie…especially in his last seen with Bruce.

I have heard lots of great things about Argo….it has been sitting on my dvd shelf for over two weeks now just waiting to be watched. I liked Daredevil as well….it made some decent money….too bad they did not make a sequel with Daredevil….I do not count Elektra as a sequel.

  2. Not really a fan but I have to admit Affleck has turned into a damn good director. I really liked Gone Baby Gone and The Town, Argo was pretty good too though in my opinion it was far from being the greatest film of 2012! Did the Oscar voters actually see the film?

Excellent work as usual Bruce, looking at your lists I’ve seen 17 of the 35 films on the chart. 9 from the box office 10 and 7 from the critics 10.

Films I haven’t seen include Jersey Girl, Gigli, He’s Just No That Into You and Dazed and Confused.

Armageddon is a guilty pleasure, which looks great on Blu-ray. With Pearl Harbor I usually skip chapters to get to the bombing raid which goes on for nearly an hour and gives my sound system a good work out.

I watched Paycheck again recently, not one of John Woo’s best.

    1. Hey Steve….thanks for the visit and the comment. I have actually seen both of his Top 10s….for a total of 25 of his movies…with number 26, Argo, being any day now.

I agree with you about Affleck….as I am not the biggest fan…but it is hard to argue that he is not directing some of the better movies these days…..and now he has the Oscar hardware to prove it.

Of the 4 movies you mentioned….I would recommend Jersey Girl as the one to see…..Jennifer Lopez is barely in the movie….with Liv Tyler being the main female love interest….a Armageddon reunion for the two of them….plus George Carlin is outstanding in a supporting role…and look for a Will Smith cameo as well.

As for Gigli….a truly horrible movie…..and like Jack and Jill you wonder what was Al Pacino thinking.

Good to see that we seem to have the same thoughts on Ben Affleck’s movie career.

  3. Armageddon is my favorite Ben Affleck movie. I never saw Argo, but it seemed like a popular movie at the Oscars. Fantastic tribute to Ben!!!

    1. Hey Sunshine….glad to see you like Armageddon as well. Amazingly they filmed much of the movie around the actually NASA equipment…it least the first half of the movie. Love the ending of that movie….it still brings a tear(a manly tear of course….lol) whenever I see the ending.

I like you have not seen Argo yet….but I am looking forward to it….thanks for the visit and the comment.

  4. Well, I have enjoyed Ben Affleck’s site Cogerson. I think I have seen about 98% of his movies. He is a good actor – recently saw The Company Men on TV and really enjoyed the movie and the story line of how it affects people being laid off from Jobs and not able to get another one – it would be interesting to see Movie #2 of Good Will Hunting as to where the friends are now after so many years. ENJOYED READING THIS. GREAT JOB1

    1. Hey BERN1960….glad to see you like my latest movie….it was a long time coming….but I figured with how much he is in the news these days that the timing was right. I could not believe that he already has so many movies in his career…I also could not believe how many of them that I have seen.

I am looking forward to Argo as well. I actually just watched The Sum of All Fears the other day for the first time….it was much better than I thought it would be. Thanks for the comments they are greatly appreciated.
