  1. I’ve seen 15 of the 31 films listed, more than I thought. Favourites are – Star Wars Rogue One, Dark Knight Rises, Captain Marvel, Ready Player One, Quigley Down Under and Knowing.

I have Vertical Limit on DVD but it’s been ages since I last watched it.

I saw the latest version of Robin Hood recently, like a kiddie version of Costner’s Robin Hood with Jamie Foxx playing the Morgan Freeman part. Mendelsohn as the villain but nowhere near as memorable as Alan Rickman’s mad bad Sheriff of Nottingham. The film wasn’t boring is the best I can say about it.

    Good stuff Bruce. Vote Up!

    1. Hey Steve….thanks for the thoughts on Ben M. He is the type of actor, like J.K. Simmons, that have been in movies….but a recent success makes you really notice them when you watch their older movies. In this case…The Dark Knight Rises, Knowing, Black Sea, Australia and others…all movies I have seen…yet do not remember his part. However….if I re-watched them…I would for sure notice him. Chris Pratt’s early movie career also falls into this situation. Zero Dark Thirty, Moneyball and Wanted….all have supporting roles for him.

Overall I have seen 19 of his movies. I liked Dark Knight Rises..but did not love it, Knowing is a fun movie, Ready Player One was one of WoC’s favorite movies of the 2018. I have not seen Quigley Down Under. Thanks for the mini-review of Robin Hood. Sounds like it should have been so much better. Good stuff!

  2. Bruce, I was watching Ben Mendelsohn last night in Captain Marvel. I enjoyed the movie but it’s not among the best Marvel comic book movies. It needed a touch of romance and dare I say – sex! Wonder Woman beats it on those grounds.

Sorry to hear you have server problems. I’ll wait until tomorrow before posting my tally, looks like you’re still working on this page.

    1. Finally……this page is complete….only took 3 days! I have not seen Captain Marvel…at this point, I will wait until it is on home entertainment. As for the server issues….at one point this week, I was ready to fold up camp and call it a day. Things are slightly better today. Thanks for stopping by.

      1. Bruce, in the second paragraph at top you write that Ben has won two Oscars, what, when? Looks like a mix up with Jason Robards paragraph. Glad things are slightly better, I’ll pop back later.

  3. Currently we are having some major issues with the website. (1) Many pages are having a “Failed To Connect To Data Table” error message. (2) Some pages are having a JLOG error message. (3) Those that get through now have to wait 3 to 4 times longer for the website to upload. (4) I can no longer do daily posts. (5) New pages do not include all the movies. (6) The theme I used to use has changed and no longer works for this website. (7) New themes do not allow the same features the old theme allowed. So our trailer page section and box office sections do not exist anymore. Essentially lots of formatting is down the drain.

When I contact my web site provider…..they will go nameless….they say….”it all looks good on this end”…..and offer no help what so ever. March is when we renew our “contract”. Originally we paid $2.99 a month…..last year we paid $60.00 a month…..now it appears we will need a new plan…which means we have to pay even more. Tough decisions are coming down the line. Very very frustrating!

  4. I’m not familiar with this actor, but I thought I’d mention that the second paragraph still mentions Jason Robards. I’m sorry you are having so many issues. I hope that you will be able to continue blogging. I can understand you thinking that it is your website internet provider doing this to increase your fees.

    1. Hey Flora….thanks for the comment and visit. We will continue “blogging” in some capacity….just not sure if we will continue here….or move somewhere else. This movie will be massive if it happens. From HubPages to CogersonMovieScore…the move was about 130 pages. The move from Cogerson Movie Score to UMR was a little over 200 pages. A move from UMR to ?????? would be 5,987 pages. A daunting task. Good feedback.

  5. Argh! Full page did not update. Will TRY to fix tonight. Sorry. Website for the second straight March is behaving poorly. Conspiracy theory. My website provider does this on purpose to make us pay more money….March is our renewal month. They might price us out of the blogging hobby. It STINKS!
