Drivel Part: (That is what my wife calls this part of the page). Back in February 2011 as The King’s Speech was dueling The Social Network for the big awards we got a request (by Tyler) to rank the Big 6 Oscar® categories. Well, we quickly knocked out the Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Actress categories. Pages on the Best Director, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress soon arrived….then we stopped…but now we are adding in some more categories…in this case Best Animated Movies.
Since 2000, there have been over 19 Best Animated Movie Oscar Winners. This page will rank all Best Animated Movie Oscar Winners from Best to Worst in five different sortable columns of information. If you use the sort and search buttons the massive table becomes very interactive.

Best Animated Movie Oscar Winners Can Be Ranked 5 Ways In The Table Below
The really cool thing about the table is that it is “user-sortable”. Rank the movies anyway you want.
- Sort by the stars of the Best Animated Movie Oscar Winners
- Sort Best Animated Movie Oscar Winners by adjusted domestic box office grosses using current movie ticket cost (in millions)
- Sort Best Animated Movie Oscar Winners by adjusted worldwide box office grosses using current movie ticket cost (in millions)
- Sort Best Animated Movie Oscar Winners by critic reviews and audiences voting. 60% rating or higher should indicate a good movie.
- Sort by how many Oscar nominations and how many Oscar® wins each Best Animated Movie Oscar Winners received.
- Sort Best Animated Movie Oscar Winners by Ultimate Movie Ranking (UMR) Score. UMR puts box office, reviews and awards into a mathematical equation and gives each movie a score. The ceiling to earn points for box office is $200 million…once a movie passes that mark it stops earning points in that category.

i saw 16. missed spirited away and brave and toy story 4. toy story 3 is my only 10 and is a favorite. up and rango are 9s. i have rated 81 animated movies on letterboxd. does this make me an anime aficionado? 14 more 9s that did not win oscar.
Cogerson, great page. please consider ranking them all, not just oscar winners.
Hey bob cox…..good to hear from you. I have seen 18 of the 19…only missing The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005). I have actually seen 14 of them in theaters. So tally count is 18 for me and 16 for you. I would agree with you about Toy Story 3 being a 10. 81 animated movies, that is an impressive total for someone that does not like computer animation. As for your request…happy to say we already have that completed. https://www.ultimatemovierankings.com/computer-animated-movies/ Good stuff as always.
Awesome Page
Thank you Mike.
