  1. Nice page. I find it very interesting that he has 6 kids I know somebody else that has 6 kids. My favorite Bill Murray movie is Ghostbusters. Another fascinating movie page. Keep up the good work.

    1. Hey BERN…I am sure Ghostbusters is many people’s favorite Bill Murray movie. That and Groundhog Day. Yep I have that in common with Bill Murray….we each have 6 kids. Thanks for checking out my latest.

  2. I love Bill Murray. He is the best part of Tootsie. My favorite Bill movie is Groundhog Day. I watch that one at least once a year. Quick Change is another favorite. Fun page.

    1. Hey TRT132……I agree with you about Tootsie. I love Groundhog Day too. Quick Change is a very funny movie…I never understood why it was pretty much ignored by the public. After Hours and Quick Change are two movies that show a different side of New York City….thanks for stopping by.

  3. Hazem has a point if Bill Murray was only a guest star or just a cameo in Tootsie, should that movie represent him and be his top movie on the moviescore chart? Ghostbusters should have been no.1 there IMO. Maybe you should relegate guest spots to a separate box on the page. Bruce I’m surprised you haven’t done a Bill Murray page before, wasn’t he one of your favorites? I’ve seen 26 of the 45 films you have listed, Ghostbusters1 is easily my favorite Bill Murray film (and role) with Groundhog Day at no.2. I’ve only seen Tootsie once when it first came out. I still haven’t seen St. Vincent. Murray as Han Solo? eek So glad it was Ford. Good work amigo.

    1. Hey Steve….Murray has a supporting role in Tootsie but it is one of the larger roles in the movie…..and one of the funniest. It has been awhile but I think his part is bigger than Teri Garr’s part and she got an Oscar nomination for the part. Box office mojo….gives him credit for Tootsie. They did not give him credit for Space Jam or Ed Wood….I also included those movies. I did not include Dumb and Dumber To and Zombieland.

Let’s see I have seen 39 of his movies. Maybe 40 I just can not remember if actually watched all of Garfield….I think I did…just not 100% sure. Your favorite, Ghostbusters, did well in all four categories…..1st in box office, 3rd in critics and audiences, 5th in Oscar love….and 2nd in Cogerson Movie Score….and just .06 points away from 1st. So you can not see Murray as Han Solo? Just think if Murray had Ford’s career….Murray as Indy, Murray as John Booker in Witness, Murray as Jack Ryan, Murray as the President in Air Force One.

As always thanks for visiting and commenting….sorry you are still considered SPAM…..just know I think you are so much more than SPAM.

  4. Love Bill Murray but I did not even know he was in Tootsie. So I can not see why that is number 1 when some of my favourites are down the list.

    1. Hey Hazem. Yep Murray plays Hoffman’s roommate….he has lots of great lines in the movie. Tootsie was a smash hit….picked up 10 Oscar nominations…including a Best Picture nomination….and was loved by critics and audiences…thus it scored the highest on those three trifecta of categories. Which Murray movies were too far down the list? Thanks for the comment and the visit.
