Good to see your website is still around. It has been a while since I’ve been here, the last couple months have been crazy I don’t think I’ve had a day off in the last six weeks. When I heard about his passing on the radio, I thought about this site.I must’ve watched First Blood a 1000 times as a kid. He was nasty in that movie, and then the other side he was the kindest alien in Cocoon. That is a sign of a good actor. He will be missed. Hope all is going well for you.
Hey SteinHoF16. Glad to hear from you, sorry to hear it’s been so busy. You make good points about his versatility as an actor. I liked the first Rambo, not thinking i liked another Rambo since. Maybe it’s because he wasn’t in any of the other ones. Thanks for the feedback stay safe and healthy.
rip good actor on screen even better on stage
Hey Larry. Thanks for checking on our Dennehy tribute page. I am envious, that you got to see him on stage. For when I read that as we really shined. Rest in peace.
That sucks. Loved him in Best Seller, Gorky Park & Silverado. Putting on First Blood right now as a tribute to him.
Hey Conner. I wonder how many people are putting in First Blood today as a tribute to Dennehy. In my house will be watching cocoon. Not thinking I can talk mama bear into letting us watch Rambo on a rampage, especially with two young girls in the house. Thanks for stopping by. Rest in peace.
I saw him as Willy Loman on stage. Great and memorable performance. Sadden by this news.
Hey Laura. Until researching this page, I had no idea he was such a stage acting legend. It is awesome that you got to see him in his award winning play. You can probably appreciate the trivia fact about his fans wanting to meet him after the show, and there needing to be extra security because so many people were trying to do the same thing. Good feedback. Thoughts and prayers to his family friends and fans.
I have seen 26 of the above movies. I saw one of his movies in theaters, Foul Play. For years I always referred to him as Chevy Chase’s partner from Foul Play. That changed by the mid 1980s, when he peaked as an actor…..even getting some leading man roles. I recently watched him in The Seagull…..he played the part of an older man very well. Sad news about his passing. Rest in peace Brian Dennehy.
