Cogerson Review on Captain America: Civil War

Why I watched this movie? Heard great things about it….plus my second oldest son paid for me to go…..so it seemed like a no brainer to go and see this blockbuster.

What is this one about? Political interference in the Avengers’ activities causes a rift between former allies Captain America and Iron Man.

My thoughts on the movie.
1. Movie dragged for the first hour. Seems it could have lost about 15 minutes and it would not have hurt the movie.
2. Spider-Man was awesome…this was the Spider-Man that I liked so much when I was a teenager. For the first time in many a moon I am excited about an upcoming Spidey movie.
3. Ant-Man was equally awesome…..wish he was in the movie more.
4. The airport fight scene is incredible….that alone is worth seeing the movie.
5. The big secret reveal was not too believable…..but I can understand they need Tony to have a reason to be pissed.
6. Movie has a nice balance of drama, action and comedy…I am sure the DC people are breaking down this movie to figure out how to duplicate that balance.
7. Chris Evans and Robert Downey, Jr are excellent in the movie….their Avengers movie gave this movie so much more meaning.
8. Liked the ending. Wrapped up things nicely….all the while getting us geared up for more in the future.
Final thought: One of the best superhero movies ever made….needs to be seen.
