- Sort Cher movies by co-stars of her movies.
- Sort Cher movies by adjusted domestic box office grosses using current movie ticket cost (in millions)
- Sort Cher movies by yearly domestic box office rank
- Sort Cher movies how they were received by critics and audiences. 60% rating or higher should indicate a good movie.
- Sort by how many Oscar® nominations each Cher movie received and how many Oscar® wins each Cher movie won.
- Sort Cher movies by Ultimate Movie Rankings (UMR) Score. UMR Score puts box office, reviews, and awards into a mathematical equation and gives each movie a score.

Hello
For me Cher is first of all, a singer and a very good singer.
With Sonny a lot of hit and after as a solo she got some big hits too;
As an actress , there is one film i love and she is very good in the Witches of Eastwick even in that film the best part is for J Nicholson, and i saw 5 Films including Suspect;
Interresting personnality, as a singer and as an actress, and a very long carriere because with Sonny they start to sing in the middle of the sixties.
cheers with my glass of Bourgogne Alligoté…
Pierre
Hey Pierre…thanks for checking out our Cher page. I understand that she is a singer first in your eyes….I think many many people feel that way. I am right there with you on Witches of Eastwick…and even more with you about Jack being the best part. 5 is a solid tally…not too far behind the leader’s 10. Wine and movie talk….does not get much better than that.
There was a time in the mid 80’s when I was really infatuated with Cher…I found her so sexy in Suspect and Moonstruck! But, as I and parts of her grew older, that infatuation passed. Still like her, and I think she will be one of the main reasons if I’ll make MM Here we go again my 9th Cher movie seen. Favs are Jimmy Dean, Suspect, Moonstruck, Mermaids, Silkwood and Mask. Never seen her in concert, although 30 years ago I sure would have loved to 😉
Hey Lupino….thanks for sharing your thoughts on Cher. I was right there with on Cher in the mid 80s….she and Madonna were two singers I paid attention. I recently saw a photo of Madonna, and realized I had not seen a new picture of her in years…..she like all of us…has gotten old.
Your 8 would top our tally contest…..I am only two behind you. I liked Suspect, Moonstruck, , Silkwood and Mask…but have not seen Mermainds or Jimmy Dean. I actually almost watched Tea With Mussolini….but I ran out of time to see it….maybe in the future. I will see MM2…but it will be months before that happens. WoC actually did not like the first one…so she has no desire to see the 2nd one. Thanks for the feedback, tally and visit…all are greatly appreciated.
Cherilyn Sarkisian gets her own UMR page, and why not?
15 films, somehow I was expecting more. Let’s see I’ve seen… just 4 of these – Suspect, Moonstruck, Mask and The Witches of Eastwick.
The Witches of Eastwick is my favorite film here, watched it many times, Jack Nicholson is superb as ‘horny little devil’ Daryl Van Horne. The three ladies are good too. I even have John William’s soundtrack on CD.
Moonstruck was Cher’s biggest hit in the US, beating the Eastwick Witches.
Good stuff Bruce. Vote Up.
Hey Steve
1. Thanks for checking out our latest UMR Page.
2. She has not made many movies…but 2 Oscar nominations including one Best Actress Oscar won shows she has some talent.
3. I have seen all 4 Cher movies you have seen….with Witches being my favorite….saw that one in theaters….Jack makes a great Devil. I am sure it was hard on him to be surrounded by Pfeiffer, Sarandon and Cher…especially the love scenes….but I guess somebody had to do it…..lol.
4. Looks like Mamma Mia 2 is going to be right there with Moonstruck and Witches when it’s box office run is over.
Good stuff as always.
I’ve seen Geraldine Page in Blithe Spirit, Kevin Kline in On the Twentieth Century, both Gene Hackman and Richard Dreyfuss in Death and the Maiden and Lila Kedrova (Oscar for Zorba the Greek) in a show in London maybe A Little Night Music. Those are Oscar winners I’ve seen on the stage, but I never thought of Cher that way. But I did see Cher, in concert at Madison Square Garden in 1999 or 2000 when she had Believe out.
Cher has never been on the oracle of Bacon Top 1000 Center of the Hollywood Universe list. She’s also the hardest list I had to throw together. I search by the actor’s name in films to make lists. Unfortunately Cher comes up as part of numerous film titles and her name is within 9 other actors in my database;
ANNE ARCHER (once in the top 1000)
BILLY BLETCHER (has about 400 credits)
CHERYL SMITH
FAY TINCHER
FRANK REICHER
JOHN ARCHER (Anne’s father)
LOUISE FLETCHER (Oscar winner and Cher’s name is within an Oscar winners’ name)
PAMELA FISCHER (on the top 1000)
SELMA ARCHERD (was on the top 1000)
Anyway actors on the 2016 list she has appeared with;

Hey Dan. So Cher was one of the hardest people to put these lists together?…who would have thought that. I think when people have been commenting on her “stage” work they have been talking about her singing shows….like the one you saw.
Hey Dan. Seeing 5 Oscar winners on stage is pretty cool. I have seen known. Actually I have only seen a few stage plays. Mamma Mia and The Wedding Singer as an adult and Death of a Salesman when I was a kid.
Looking at the three lists….seems The Player really helped her get many matches ….and her part was about 10 seconds long?
The people connected to Cher on the first list are a pretty wide range of people. Not many people have worked with her more than once. Bill Cobbs and now Meryl Streep….with Mamma Mia 2 kicking butt in theaters this weekend. Good stuff as always, thanks for sharing this information.
Dan I will forever envy you for having seen Geraldine Page live on stage!!!
I think Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit was her last stage part. Hope you enjoyed it 😉
I agree seeing Page on stage would have been an awesome experience.
Dan must have been a great thrill seeing them in person. thanks for sharing, thanks for extra effort on lists, I appreciate you.
My mom loved Cher. We must have watched Mermaids and Mask a 100 times. We might go and see Mamma Mia sometime next weekend. Good selection.
Hey Helakoski…..thanks for sharing a movie memory about you and your mom. I have Mask…..but not in years…or decades…….but have never seen Mermaids. If you see Mamma Mia 2….hope you and your mom enjoy it. Thanks for the feedback.
