2. Christopher Plummer did an apprenticeship with the Canadian Repertory Company…..appearing in over 75 stage roles.  He made his Broadway debut in 1953’s The Starcross Story.  That was the good news…the bad news was it closed on opening night.

3. Christopher Plummer was the understudy for Tyrone Power in the play….The Dark is Light Enough.

4. Christopher Plummer’s The Sound of Music (1965) is the third biggest box office hit of all-time when looking at all-time adjusted box office grosses.

  1. Sad news. Christopher Plummer was one of my favorites.

    Last year I bought ‘Knives Out’ and ‘All the Money in the World’ on blu-ray. He was great in both those films.

    Might watch Murder by Decree at the weekend as a tribute.

    1. Hey Steve…thanks for the thoughts on Christopher Plummer. So sad news….he seemed so active…I figured we had another decade of Plummer movies. I agree he was great in Knives Ou and All The Money In The World. I think I will watch The Silent Partner as my tribute.

    1. Hi Richard, Fall of the Roman Empire is a favorite of mine too, those huge sets! Nowadays it would all be done on computer but back then they had to build everything.
