HI STEVE
I don’t have Colin’s southern Irish accent. Up here in Belfast in the North we tend to speak like the evil giants spoke in Jack the Giant Slayer of 2013, or like James Nesbitt speaks in the television series Cold Feet. That kind of accent tends to be quite light “Men of power don’t have to shout.” [The Godfather]
Anyway I’ll catch up with you again within next half hour.
Hey Bob….interesting about how your accent sounds….makes my mental picture of you become even clearer.
Colin Farrell, good subject. I should do a video on him some time this year, along with Christian Bale, Ben Affleck and others of that age and era.
I’ve seen 19 of the 40 films on the chart. Favorites include – In Bruges, Total Recall, Minority Report, Daredevil, Epic and Horrible Bosses.
I still haven’t seen Saving Mr. Banks. Would make a good double bill with Mary Poppins.
I liked the Batman actors trivia. He must be a good actor if he can disguise that thick Irish brogue. I wonder if Bob can? 😉
Nice work Bruce. Vote Up!
Hey Steve….thanks for checking out our latest page. I think he and the others you mentioned would be good picks for a video. 19 is just under half……but far away from my 37 seen. Not sure how I ended up almost seeing all of his movies….but I have done that. Of your favorites….right there with you on Horrible Bosses, In Bruges and Minority Report. I liked Daredevil, but I loved Farrell’s role in that one. Saving Mr. Banks is a good movie….and a member of our DVD collection…Hanks as Disney is worth the time to see it. I would also recommend Intermission, if you have not seen it yet. Good stuff.
I have been interested in US politics ever since Watergate and understand that the Irish-American vote is a valued demographic in US elections. Indeed some politicians running for president have been keen to claim Irish roots somewhere in the family tree [Richard Nixon may have been one]. Today I gather that Donald Trump’s advisers contain a number of Irish Americans in prominent posts.
It is therefore good to see this site profiling an Irish actor [now residing in the States] though I suppose the charge could be levelled against me, living here in Northern Ireland, that I prove the Biblical stipulation that “A prophet is without honour in his own town,” because I have seen just 6 of Colin’s films in your table. Certainly neither you nor Mr Posters would be likely to boast about ownership of this short list: Minority Report/The Recruit/Phone Booth/Total Recall/Alexander/In Bruges
.
However I did much enjoy Colin in them all, especially In Bruges, so I warmly welcome this new page. It helps of course that according to Possibly Interesting Facts 4 above he seems to have excellent s in his own acting idols –“Who needs ya ? Joely Baby!”
Colin is though entitled to the page in his own right as IMDB credits him with 15 acting awards and 56 nominations and his net worth is said to be $30 million. Normally we don’t get much idea of exactly how a celebrity’s quoted wealth has been generated but apparently Colin’s was largely earned from his movie career.
Anyway, Work Horse, I appreciate your for once honouring a fellow countryman of mine instead of another one of Steve’s Limey actor-knights so “Voted Up!” Please have a good weekend and take care.
Hey Bob. Interesting info on Irish voters and their strength in deciding our elections. That and a tally count…I feel very fortunate today. Of the six that you have seen, 5 were starring roles for Farrell. Only Minority Report is a secondary role for him. 4 if those movies did pretty well in our rankings…as they finished 1st, 9th, 14th, 16th…while two did not fare as well….26th and 34th. In some ways, he has never recovered from Alexander…..as his greatest successes since, have been in supporting roles. Glad you enjoyed our shout out to one of Ireland’s sons. Good feedback.
Love Colin Farrell. He is an actor that is getting better with age. So I feel the best is yet to come.

Hey Anonymous. I agree with your comment. Thanks for the link to Farrell’s Movie Chat forum…..I have started going there since IMDb’s message board was dropped.
Of the movies you list…seen all of them….Horrible Bosses, Intermission, Saving Mr. Banks and Seven Psychopaths would be in my Top 10 too. As for The Killing Of A Scared Deer…..weird weird movie…..but one that has stuck in my memory. Thanks for stopping by.
Astute readers will notice the table above is our old table. Currently we are having some internet issues with our website provider…..so our database can not talk to the website. So to get this new Colin Farrell page up….we had to create a table like we used to back in the pre-dynamic days. We are efforting to get this issue fixed as soon as possible.
Never mind. Issue got fixed. And fixed by me. I am so proud of myself. Just got through adding all 40 trailers for his movies….plus trivia. Actually seen 37 of these movies. I have not seen American Outlaws, The War Zone or his newest movie Widows. So I have seen 92.50% of his movies…..no idea I had seen so many of his movies.
