HI STEVE I have seen just 6 Colin Farrell films: Minority Report/The Recruit/Phone Booth/Total Recall/Alexander/In Bruges. However I did much enjoy Colin in them all, especially In Bruges. IMDB credits him with 15 acting awards and 58 nominations and his net worth is said to be between $30 million and $80 million.
However whatever the figure he is certainly very wealthy and seems set to become more-so because he’s currently keeping very busy. He has 4 movies at post-production stage awaiting release and he is currently filming “The Batman” in which he plays The Penguin opposite Robert Pattison as your own fabled action hero idol. Colin also has a further movie at pre-production stage.
Between 1998 and 2o15 he was in 6 television productions and in tandem with “The Batman” he is now filming a TV miniseries “The North Water”. It appears good because here’s what Wikipedia says about it.
“Farrell plays Henry Drax in the drama, a harpooner and brutish killer whose amorality has been shaped to fit the harshness of his world, who will set sail on a whaling expedition to the Arctic with Patrick Sumner, a disgraced ex-army surgeon who signs up as the ship’s doctor. Hoping to escape the horrors of his past, Sumner finds himself on an ill-fated journey with a murderous psychopath. In search of redemption, his story becomes a harsh struggle for survival in the Arctic wasteland.
Just added Steve’s Colin Farrell You Tube video to this page…our thoughts found on his video channel found below.
Interesting….we both have 40 movies on our Colin Farrell pages/videos. It looks like the same movies as well…just you have yours in the wrong order…lol. I have seen 36 of these movies…and I do not think of myself as a fan of his at all. Favorites would include #2 In Bruges…pretty sure he got a Golden Globe for that one. #5 The Gentlemen….actual saw this one in theaters….theaters is where people used to go to see new movies…in case you had forgotten. I liked him in the movie….great role for him. #15 Intermission…good flick….with lots of great performances. I liked him in Daredevil…though the movie is not a favorite. I like his #1 movie….but his part is not that vital to the success of it. Voted up and shared.
Hi Bruce, you have three more Colin Farrell films on your chart – Ask the Dust, Veronica Guerin and The War Zone, and are missing Triage from my list.
In Bruges is my favorite Colin Farrell starring film, watched it many times. He had a good showy part in Minority Report but he had yet to become famous.
Your tally 36 of the 40, wow and you’re not a fan? I’ve seen 20 and Flora 2.
Thanks for the comment vote and share, always appreciated.
I saw 8. 10 and favorite: saving mr banks. no hidden gems
Hey bob cox…thanks for the tally count, and thoughts on Saving Mr. Banks.
I like Colin Farrell and was surprised that I only recognized 7 of his movies on the list. I guess that in the few I saw, Farrell left an impression on me. I found In Bruges in particular to be a great film and one that featured a strong dramatic performance from Farrell. Next favorite would be Minority Report, though this was really Tom Cruise’s picture. Also thought Woody Allen’s Cassandra’s Dream and Dead Man Down were quite good, much better than suggested by the ratings above. One I would like to see is Horrible Bosses. Looking at the box office figures on this list, it’s interesting to note that despite his popularity, Farrell has had relatively few commercial hits, at least in the US.
Hey PhilHOF17….wow only 7 Farrell movies seen? Shocked that I have seen 30 more Farrell movies than you. I liked In Bruges too. With Intermission being another that I really enjoyed. Minority Report gives Farrell a good supporting role…but you are correct….it is a Cruise movie without a doubt. Both Cassandra’s Dream and Dead Man Down did almost nothing at the box office…which is why their rating is so low. Horrible Bosses is a fun movie…and Farrell has some very funny moments in the movie…and one of the worst hairdos in his entire career. I put Farrell in the same group as Jake Gyllenhaal….good actors that have had some horrible luck at the box office. Thanks for the feedback and the visit.
Hey Bruce,
Yes, I am deeply ashamed of my low Farrell count, and I am shocked that there are only 3 Farrell movies that you have NOT seen – you probably beat every-one on the planet with that count!
I meant that the critical review scores of Cassandra’s Dream and Dead Man Down are pretty low, never mind the UMR scores which are horrible, but hey, I enjoyed them. Thanks for your feedback and further info on some of Colin Farrell’s movies. I’ll keep an eye out for Intermission.
Hey PhilHoF17….we will forgive you. I imagine my total will soon be 38, as I expect Widows to be on home entertainment very soon. American Outlaws is sitting at my local library, just begging to be watched. The War Zone will probably the hardest one to find. If you liked In Bruges…..you will probably enjoy Intermission. Thanks for the return visit and comment.

Hey Dan. Thanks for both lists. 27 Oscar winning co-stars is pretty good….and I suspect it will be going up as time passes on. So he has starred in 3 of the Top 4 Bacon stars…..impressive….but missing Michael Caine….you would have thought they would have crossed paths over the last 20 or so years. Christopher Plummer is tied for most co-star movies….actually has 3 movies on both lists. As always, your comments are fun to read and see all of the connections they have with other stars. Good feedback.
