UMR Movie Review of Da 5 Bloods (2020)

Da 5 Bloods is the latest from Spike Lee. Lee fans will be reminded of his Miracle At St. Anna many times while watching this one. Let me get my biggest complaint out of the way first…..this movie is too long….which causes lots of dull moments. That being said, I did enjoy this movie. Delroy Lindo is outstanding in this movie. I liked how the story unfolded, I like the performances and I liked the shout outs to Treasure of the Sierre Madre…including the famous…”We don’t need no stinkin’ badges” line. Final thought: A good movie.
