The Drivel Part of the page. A few years ago, my wife requested a Debbie Reynolds (1932-2016) movie ranking page. For some unknown reason, especially since she has done so many things to make this website better and easier to maintain, I have failed to follow through with that request. Well last night, I told my lovely wife that I was finally ready to publish her Debbie Reynolds page. I then asked her for the first time why she wanted a Reynolds page. Her response….”Because she has a cool first name”. In case you could not guess it….my wife’s name is Debbie. So for my Debbie….here is finally a Debbie Reynolds movie page.
Her IMDb page shows 83 acting credits from 1948-2015. This page will rank 38 Debbie Reynolds movies from Best to Worst in seven different sortable columns of information. Television shows, shorts, cameos and movies that were not released in North American theaters were not included in the rankings. To do well in our rankings a movie has to do well at the box office, get good reviews by critics, be liked by audiences and get some award recognition.

For comments….all you need is a name and a comment….please ignore the rest.
Debbie Reynolds starred in my favorite Hollywood musical, Singin’ in the Rain, a movie I never tire of watching (usually every Xmas).
Embarrassed to say I’ve only seen 3 of her movies, Singin’ in the Rain, Three Little Words and How The West Was Won. Tender Trap and Molly Brown are two I’d like to watch, eventually.
I’ve heard of her daughter, wasn’t she in some sci-fi series, Star Trek or something? 🙂
Nice work as usual Bruce, voted up.
Hey Steve…I figured you would be happy that Singin’ In The Rain was the top movie….and 2nd on the UMR score. My tally is not much higher….as I am at 6. Pretty sure Flora is going to destroy our combined totals. I started watching The Unsinkable Molly Brown but my disc messed up and I could not finish that movie….but the first 30 minutes were pretty entertaining. I think you are right Carrie Fisher has a pretty big part in Star Trek…I think they might create a Princess Leia/Captain Kirk romance in the next movies….especially if J.J. Abrams gets confused when editing the movies. As always thanks for the comment and the visit.
I have always enjoyed Singing in the Rain and Molly Brown….
Hey Ann….Singin’ In The Rain got the best reviews of any Debbie Reynolds movie…plus it was her 2nd biggest box office hit. I hope that makes up for the fact that Gene Kelly gave her such a hard time while making that movie.
Tammy and the Bachelor is my favorite.
Hey Gloria….Tammy and the Bachelor was one of her Top 10 box office hits…and got the 3rd best reviews of her career….that is a pretty good combination.
Molly Brown is my favorite.
Hey Ann….The Unsinkable Molly Brown got Reynolds her one and only Oscar nomination…plus it was her 4th biggest hit of her career….so I am pretty sure you have lots of people that agree with you. I will have to check it out.
