Hello,
Dolly Parton, for me without any questions, is country music, and I love that music.
She is with Alison Krauss, Tammy Wynette and Sheryl crow one of the best for the Ladies.
I love the two records Trio with the great Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris.
I think she was good in Nine to five but she is smiling like Betty White….
I did not remembered her in Steel Magnolias.
I think she is a very beautiful personne.
Portez vous bien et prenez soin de vous !
Bye
Pierre
Dolly Parton has appeared in so few movies she has never appeared on the Oracle of Bacon Top 1000. She has been in the top 10 box office stars a couple of years as you say, up there with such short lived box office stars as Paul Hogan and Macaulay Culkin. These are the actors on the 2020 list she has appeared with.

Hey Dan….good connection with Paul Hogan and Macaulay Culkin. My database problems got this page done…..but back in the day she was one of the most popular people in the world. As for your lists…I am shocked…I tell you shocked that you have not included Maurice Micklewhite on your lists….as he belongs on both of them….you did include his frequent co-star Maggie Smith ….which he was in the movie that got her on the list. I am of course joking with you…..but you are indeed missing Sir Caine on these lists. Good information as always.
I have had problems for the years 2011 – 2013 with people missing down the years. Sometimes when I’m filling in other films I find someone missing from a big film. It’s annoying but give Dolly Mr. Caine.
I have seen the top 3 Dolly Parton movies.
9 To 5 is a favourite.
Steel Magnolias and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas are not favourites
Hey Flora….thanks for the feedback on Dolly Parton. I think I have been sitting on these 10 movies for a few years now…all it took was for a complete database meltdown to get this page completed…lol. I have seen 6 of her movies. Her movie career started out pretty strong but did not really go too far….10 movies in 40 years is not an impressive movie total. I would say 9 to 5 is my favorite as well. As always thanks for sharing your movie thoughts.
Thank you Mike. Dolly was a page we researched a few years ago, but never got around to doing a page on her. Our current situation with the databasr finally got her a page.
Excellent UMR Page
