Curious about Emilio Estevez’s box office grosses or which Emilio Estevez movie picked up the most Oscar® nominations? Need to know which Emilio Estevez movie got the best reviews from critics and audiences and which got the worst? Well you have come to the right place….because we have all of that information.
A few years ago Sunshine625 requested a movie page that ranked all of the Sheen family’s movies. So I put them all on one huge movie page. It turned out well but it was probably a little too long….and the Google search gods never liked the page….so the views were pretty bad. Well now that we are moving to a new website….I figured I give each Sheen/Estevez their very own page. Their new individual links….Emilio Estevez, Charlie Sheen and Martin Sheen.
Emilio Estevez (1962-) is an actor, writer, producer and director. His IMDb page shows 46 acting credits from 1973-2015. He also has 13 directing credits…including 5 of the movies listed in the following table. This page will rank 23 Emilio Estevez movies from Best to Worst in six different sortable columns of information. Television shows, shorts, cameos and movies that were not released in theaters were not included in the rankings.
Emilio Estevez Movies Ranked In Chronological Order With Ultimate Movie Rankings Score (1 to 5 UMR Tickets) *Best combo of box office, reviews and awards.

For comments….all you need is a name and a comment….please ignore the rest.
For never having won an oscar, this family sure is successful and prolific. Good on them. This is a great hub giving all of this information.
I think the best one is Apocalypse Now, the Ferris Bueller and Breakfast Club will always have a place in my heart.
Hey Phil….thanks for stopping by. I like the trifecta of movies you mentioned….and I am glad to see they all ended up ranked pretty high on my rating charts. Glad to hear you liked all the information that is found on this page.
Wow an epic page Bruce, we get three for the price of one, excellent work!
Of the three actors here Martin Sheen is by far my favourite, not the biggest fan of Charlie or Emilio, but I like their films.
Apocalypse Now had to be tops, great film. Charlie’s Platoon is also a big favourite of mine. Stakeout is my favourite Estevez film, hated the sequel. I also have the two Young Guns films on DVD.
I’m a huge fan of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off but Charlie wasn’t really in it much. Wall Street deserved to be no.2 on his chart.
I’ve seen 15 of the 41 Martin Sheen films you’ve listed.
15 of the 23 Emilio Estevez films.
And 18 of the 30 Charlie Sheen films on there.
Thats 48 out of 94 total, not bad.
From the lowest rated films I have The Wraith, The Chase, The Believers and Maximum Overdrive on DVD, he shamefully admitted.
Enjoyed all the trivia, so much I didn’t know about this family. Martin up for Michael Corleone in Godfather and Charlie as Ron Kovic in Fourth of July, can’t picture them in those roles. 🙂
Hey Steve….wow….I now have it writing….you agree with all three of the top Movie Score picks for each actor…..as Platoon, Stakeout and Apocalypse Now top the charts and you agree with the picks…..my life is now complete…..lol. It can only get worse from here on in.
I agree he does not have a huge part in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off but I do think he has three or four scenes in the movie….same thing with Being John Malkovich…..but you have to give him kudos for wanting to be involved in such an unusual movie.
Wall Street is his 8th biggest box office hit and his 6th best according to critics and audiences….so I think if we take out Ferris Bueller…then it would move to 4th place….which is close to 2nd….lol.
Let’s see….my tally count. Charlie…23 out of 30. Emilio 19 of 23. Martin 23 out of 41. Which is a combined total of 65 out of 94. I think I have seen Wisdom…but can not remember anything about the movie so I put down in the have not seen category.
I was amazed about the amount of movies Martin and Charlie appeared in that went straight to DVD….including one that starred Charlie, Martin, Donald Sutherland and Marlon Brando(one of his last movies) called Free Money.
I appreciate your comments and the votes…they are both greatly appreciated.
I am so glad Alecia shared this page! I am thrilled you created this Triple Tribute Treat to three fine actors and men. I like how it turned out also. I am a fan of Charlie, Martin and Emilio. I think I saw every movie on the list except for maybe 3 or 4. That’s awesome!
To Emilio, I’ve been a fan of yours since The Outsiders when you played Two-Bit. The entire cast went on to become rich and famous. Another awesome memory of you is in the movie A Night At The Roxbury. Even though you didn’t star in the movie, your name did and everytime Will Ferrell told his story about meeting Emilio I would think of you and smile! The Breakfast Club is my favorite movie of yours.
Charlie, You WERE Two and a Half Men, CBS really messed up when they didnt give in to your demands. I would have! I wished at times you would wear something different besides the traditional apparel your character wore, it wasn’t winning, but you rocked your role. My favorite movie of yours is Platoon. Keep doing what you’re doing because you must be doing something right.
Martin, You did a fantastic job as father and actor. I just don’t think you could have pulled off Michael in Scarface. That role was created for Al Pacino even though Oliver Stone might not have known that at the time he wrote it. My favorite movie of yours is The American President. Even though I liked all the movies you starred in. The resemblence between you and Charlie is almost like you were twins born years apart. Wow!
Cogerson, Thank you for creating this hub! It’s outstanding! I hope you receive a reply from one of these fine men. Come on guys, do it for the team! 🙂
Hey Sunshine625….I am glad to see that you like the page. I got a kick out your messages to the three Sheen actors. Maybe somebody in their family we see the hub when Google gets around to indexing it.
We agree on how great a movie The Breakfast Club is….and you and Debbie are in the same boat with The American President….I think my wife watches that movie at least once every three months.
As for Charlie….I wish he was still on Two and Half Men…but I think he has to take his share of the blame for his departure….Ashton is ok….but the show misses Charlie and his charisma.
I appreciate the comment, the compliment, the visit and mostly for your suggestion of the hub…it makes me think I need to go and revisit my Jeff Bridges page….as he seems lonely in that hub without his dad Lloyd and brother Beau….lol.
Wow, this was such an impressive page about Martin Sheen and his two sons (Emilio Estevez/Charlie Sheen) acting careers. I loved how you broke the lists up showing each together first and then separate. Thank you also for talking about Charlie’s little known role in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. I loved that movie and even though he didn’t have a very big part, still was a memorable one. Awesome job and have voted and shared too!!
Hey Janine….I am glad you liked the setup of the hub….I almost went an entirely different route. Thanks for the share and the nice compliment as well. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off almost did not make it….as his role is so small….but a quick check on IMDB and I saw it got 8th or 9th billing….plus I am sure many do not even remember he was in the movie. Thanks for stopping by.
I am so glad Sunshine suggested this hub! I recently read the shared autobiography of Emilio and Martin, it was so great. I love celebrity biographies anyway but I loved the honest approach they took in writing it.
It’s hard to believe Martin never received so much as an Oscar nod. He has such great range and gives amazing performances. Of his kids, Emilio is most like him in that regard which is why I think he hasn’t done as many films.
Another well-researched and well-written movie page :).
Hey Alecia…thanks for stopping by and for the comment. I agree with you it seems that Martin Sheen is a class act. I like the way he has handled the issues Charlie….he gets mad and disappointed but is always willing to help Charlie out. I also agree with you about how Emilio seems to follow more in Martin’s tracks.
How in the world Martin Sheen did not get an Oscar nom for Apocalypse Now is beyond me….it is probably one of the greatest performances in the last 40 years….Robert Duvall got a nomination for 15 minutes of work….but Sheen who suffered a heart attack while making the movie got nothing from the Academy. Thanks for the shares and the compliment …they are both greatly appreciated.
