My favorite Ennio Morricone Movie Music….the theme from Nobody Is My Name
If you do a comment….please ignore the email address and website section.
On top of the 500 film and TV scores that Bruce quotes above Ennio is credited with 100 classical scores and it is estimated that over his career he sold 70 million records. IMDB credits him with 83 career awards and 91 nominations; and he leaves behind a net worth of $20 million.
He performed in live concerts that have totalled hundreds – for example in 2001 their number was over 250. I have seen 15 of the films listed in Bruce’s tables above:
A Fistful of Dollars
1900
U Turn
Few Dollar More
The Thing
The Mission
Untouchables
Frantic
Bugsy
In the Line of Fire
Wolf
Disclosure
Bulworth
Burn [aka Queimada]
Love Affair – a remake of Al Leach’s 1957 Affair to Remember; which was in turn a remake of the Charles Boyer/Irene Dunne 1939 film. I though the Leach one was the best version of the 3.
RIP Ennio.
Hey Bob….thanks for the thoughts on the late great Ennio Morricone. Tally count: Cogerson 31, Steve 29, Bob 15 and Flora 12. Thanks for the information on his awards, his net worth and his concerts…..now that is concert I would like to see. We get some John Williams music concerts around here but never an Ennio concert. I agree with you on the Love Affair movies. Heck, it is time for another addition…as the most recent is pushing 30 years old. Good stuff. Rest in Peace Mr. Morricone.
RIP Ennio Morricone. Sad news Bruce. I was buying Morricone soundtrack LPs way back in the late 70s. One of my all time favorite film composers.
I’ve seen 29 of the 60 films on this chart. My favorites include – A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, The Good the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West, Once Upon a Time in America, My Name is Nobody, Orca, Wolf, The Thing, The Mission, Mission to Mars, The Untouchables, In the Line of Fire and The Hateful Eight.
Nice to see The Good the Bad and the Ugly topping the UMR & Critics charts, my favorite Italian western and one of my favorite movies too. It contains my favorite Morricone track – The Ecstasy of Gold.
A good tribute Bruce. Vote Up!

Hey Flora….thanks for checking out our Ennio Morricone tribute page. Tally count: Cogerson 31, Steve 29, Bob 15 and Flora 12. I have seen all of your favorites, I really like all of them. Cinema Paradiso and The Good, The Bad and the Ugly are in my Top 100 movies. I have seen all of your “other” movies with the exception of Guns of Sebastian. I spent 5 hours yesterday watching Ennio Morricone movies as I watched The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and My Name Is Nobody. Both fun movies to watch. Rest in Peace Ennio Morricone.
Hey Mike….Thanks for checking out our Ennio tribute page. 30 more Ennio movies are coming to this page….should be here soon….60 movies is only about 11% of his IMDb credits. A few years ago, I almost did a page on him….but his 500 plus IMDb credits caused me to drop that idea. Rest in Peace Ennio Morricone.
R.I.P. Ennio.
