Nevertheless The Work Horse is in my view justified in giving us this new page as Eva did apparently do well on television; because of the enormous hype the Gabors received they DO have their distinct niches in movies history at least collectively; and they were so attractive that George Sanders married 2 of the three sisters the one that he left out being Eva.
Indeed I am surprised that he didn’t go for the hat trick and marry Eva as to me she was the loveliest of the three; and when I think of her and how untalented as a thespian I perceived her to be and yet was so famous and lovely I often recall the Biblical quotes
“Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow;
They toil not, neither do they spin: ——–
Yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”
Anyway she died a wealthy woman and Celebrity Net Worth site recently assessed the fortune she left behind at $30 million in today’s money. That’s not surprising given Item 5 of Bruce’s Interesting Facts above.
Hey Bob…thanks for the further information on Eva Gabor. Funny about George Sanders marrying two of the three Gabor sisters. Eva was a very successful business woman….so I am surprised her net worth was not more. Good stuff as always.
