4 regulars on Mary Tyler Moore made it to 90 with 2 (Gavin and Cloris Leachman) passing this year. Ed Asner is 92 this year and Betty White 99.
Mary came from the Dick Van Dyle show. Dick is 95. Carl Reiner made it to 98 and Rose Marie to 94.
There are some good genes in those show’s regulars.
Hey Dan. I agree….seems like those shows had some good water to drink during breaks in shooting. All of those people with the exception of Rose Marie have UMR pages. Rest in peace
I am a big fan of The Mary Tyler Moore Show. I have not watched much of Love Boat or McHale’s Navy.
I have seen 8 Gavin MavLeod movies, all in the top 10.
The HIGHEST rated movie I have seen is The Sand Pebbles.
The highest rated movie I have NOT seen is High Time.
The LOWEST rated movie I have seen is The Gene Krupa Story.
Favourite Gavin MacLeod Movies:

Hey Flora. Seems that I have been aware of him all of my life. My mom really loved The Mary Tyler Moore show and it seemed to be on tv all the time. It took awhile to connect him to McHale’s Navy….but when Love Boat was popular…he was always that funny guy from the MTM show. On the movie side I have seen 6 of his movies…but they are his Top 5 and #8 Pork Chop Hill. I have seen all of your favorites with the exception of The Gene Krupa Story. My favorites would include the first two you mentioned…Operation Petticoat and Kelly’s Heroes. I like you am not a huge fan of The Sand Peebles. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Mr. MacLeod. RIP.
