Want to know the best Gunfight At The O.K. Corral movies? How about the worst Gunfight At The O.K. Corral movies? Curious about Gunfight At The O.K. Corral domestic box office grosses or which Gunfight At The O.K. Corral movie the biggest hit in worldwide grosses? Need to know which Gunfight At The O.K. There have been many movies both on the big screen and the little screen that have dealt with the Gunfight At The O.K. Corral. This page looks at the ones that were released in theaters in North America and featured Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday. That means you will not find 1934’s Frontier Marshall (it featured characters called Michael Wyatt and Doc Warren) or 1955’s Wichita (it has a Wyatt Earp but no Doc Holliday and no Gunfight At The O.K. Corral).
Drivel part of the page: The setup of this page is a little different than our other pages. Yes you still get a table of stats…..but we also gave each major movie stat their own section. Another new item is the result of our Best Wyatt Earp/Doc Holliday portrayal poll. 20 people were nice enough to provide a ranking of their personal favorite Earp and Holliday.

I thought I did a vote too. But it is not listed on the table or the other pages. Maybe I dreamt of doing that. Oh well I have seen many of these movies.
Hey Helakoski….well…I wish I would have seen your votes….sorry they did not get counted. Thanks for the visit and the comment.
Good to know that the others agree with me about Doc. Too bad they are confused about Wyatt.
Hey Chris…..yep what were they thinking when it came to ranking Wyatt Earps…lol.
Even though my Earp finished 3rd, I see he got the most 1st place votes. This has been fun.
Hey Paul…..yep Henry Fonda and Kurt Russell had 6 place votes…..with Lancaster at 5 first place votes. I like how the votes were pretty well spread out. Thanks for the return visit.
1 HI BRUCE The styles of those Wyatt Earp/Doc Holliday movies that I have seen were so different that I never sought to make comparisons between them. For example my favourite one My Darling Clementine was slower paced that the Burt/Kirk outing and I thought Lancaster was a more tense and animated Earp than Hank. Also Victor Mature played Doc as a supporting character whereas the Lancaster/Douglas version was a joint 2-star vehicle.
2 The associated comparison that I always HAVE made is between Gunfight at Ok Corral and Last Train from Gun Hill as both were directed by Sturges, produced by Hal Wallis and starred Kirk. I thought that Last Train was better than Gunfight though I see you do not agree with me, and if I recall correctly neither does Steve but as IMDB supports my choice it looks as if you and Steve got it wrong again!
3 However congratulations on the comprehensive spreads that you have produced on the Earp/Holliday subject, which going by the response you got has obviously given much fun to your regulars and I think that this is the kind of novel exercise that keeps your site interesting and continually fresh.
4 By the way coincidentally in last night’s 1991 episode of Angela Lansbury’s TV series Murder She Wrote Howard Keel at 72 played a supporting role. His part called for him to look worried as he well might if he were around today and noticed that he was among the few old musical stars who didn’t have a Cogerson page though I see from your recent remarks that Howard’s posthumous luck in that respect may well change in the near future.
5 In the previous night’s episode one of your classic era ‘character’ actors Lloyd Nolan appeared aged 83 in a 1985 episode It was his penultimate move and he actually died that year. However he went out in style for about 5 months after he died your old favourite Hannah and Her Sisters was released and in that one Woody gave Lloyd equal star billing to himself Sir Maurice, Mia Farrow and Carrie Fisher. Excellent company to bow out with.
Hey Bob.
1. Good to know that My Darling Clementine is your favorite…..that movie now has it’s own UMR page…which is a preview of our hopefully coming soon “dynamic website”.
2. I actually have not seen Last Train From Gun Hill…..so I currently do not have a dog in that fight…..yet…lol.
3. This was a fun page to do….last week I watched Hour Of The Gun…..right now I am listening to the commentary on Tombstone…..so Gunfight at the OK Corral has been on my mind lately.
4. Good stuff on Howard Keel and Murder She Wrote.
5. Like him or not Woody seems to have a nice respect for Hollywood of the past.
Thanks for the feedback.
I like the look. The page is much more visual. Really like all the photos. The two charts at the bottom are nice as well. Thanks for including my picks. It is fun to see my name on the page.
Wow that is a close finish for the top spot. Glad my two favorite movies sit at the top.
I forgot to mention that I liked the new UMR movie link.
Hey SteinHOF…..our latest UMR feature. So far we have 6 movies done. In the future that number will be in the 1000s. 🙂
Hey SteinHOF…..I agree this page is much more visual than the other pages….we will have to see how popular the page is….compared to the others.
Glad you like seeing your “name in lights”….lol. Your votes were greatly appreciated.
