The highlight during this time frame would be his small roles in 1973’s American Graffiti and 1974’s The Conversation…both were nominated for Oscars® for Best Picture but neither movie really helped his career.

3. By 1976, Ford turned towards his carpentry skills to support his family. He was hired by George Lucas to build some cabinets for the Lucas house. 1. Coge…….Harrison is just one of those actors who seems to appeal to everyone, just by being Harrison Ford. Believe it or not, unlike a lot of the leading men you teach us about, I actually have seen most of his movies.

I’m gonna have to say it is impossible in the case of Harrison to pick a single favorite. I could, however, choose several with a different reason for each movie….why I like it so much. Obviously, “Indiana Jones” will forever be his alias.

There is a movie of his that I can watch repeatedly…..”Regarding Henry.”

Thanks for the Harrison Ford education!! and Congratulations, once again

    1. Hey fpherj48….Harrison Ford has been a star for 35 years now….it is hard to believe the man is 72 already. I think some would argue that his Han Solo is bigger than his Indiana Jones alias…..I choose to think of him as either Han Jones or Indiana Solo……lol. Regarding Henry is a movie that was much better the second time around. Thanks for the visit and the votes.

  2. Was it really 16 months ago I last commented here, wow I was just a kid back then. 😉

Nice upgrade Bruce though I can’t remember what it looked like before, less trivia I’ll bet.

Okay, hmmm I pretty much agree with your top films on the Moviescore except I’d put Empire Strikes Back above The Fugitive… oh wait thats what I said in my last comment. 🙂

The Fugitive was popular in its time but does anyone still watch that film? I’d rather watch Clear and Present Danger or Air Force One given the choice.

I’ve seen 26 of the 38 films you’ve listed. All the top 10 box office and the top 10 critics lists.

Movies I’ve missed include Regarding Henry, Sabrina and Random Hearts.

His favourite movie was The Mosquito Coast? And thats one of the few times he played an unlikeable role.

Ford has starred in more massive hits than any other actor, whoa!

    1. Hey Steve Lensman….thanks for returning 16 months later. I seem to remember your points about Empire vs The Fugitive….I agree with you about The Fugitive being forgotten…..but it did get an Oscar nomination for Best Picture……and a Golden Globe for him as Best Actor…..he does not get too many acting nominations…so he probably considers his role in The Fugitive as one of his best.

I find it hard to believe that Mosquito Coast is his favorite as well….that movie never took off at all. I have seen all 38 of these movies listed…including his underrated Heroes which also starred Sally Field and The Fonz …aka Henry Winkler.

  3. Love me some Harrison Ford! His movies are a gift that keep on giving! As are your movie pages Cogerson! 🙂

    1. Hey Sunshine625…..you will be happy to know that he has two movies already done….he is filming a third one….and Indy 5 is coming after he finishes the 3rd movie….one of the movies he will be playing Branch Rickey the baseball executive that help break the color barrier in baseball by signing Jackie Robinson….should be an interesting movie…thanks for comment and the visit.

    1. Hey daskittlez69…thanks for the visit and the comment. I agree with your comment 100%….I have been a huge fan of his for 35 years now…..of course it started with Han Solo….but it was not until there was a Indiana Jones that I realized there was a Harrison Ford….I really think a Honorary Oscar is way past due.

  4. Besides Sean Connery, Harison Ford is my favorite male actor. When he is the star in the movie I just don’t take my eyes off him for a second. I adore every move he makes with his eyes, lips, and and and… In my eyes he is a stunner 🙂

Thanks for this awesome movie page about Harison Ford’s best and worse movies, cogerson 🙂

    1. Hey Martie……Connery and Ford made a great screen team in Indy 3….thanks for the nice words about my Harrison Ford page
