This is actually the 3rd home for Cogerson Movie Scores. We started writing these pages over 4 years ago. Our first page was called a hub and it was found on HubPages.com. After some success there we started our own website…CogersonMovieScore.com. So after a combined 3.5 million views we are moving again. For those used to our old movies tables…I agree I liked the older tables better….but these new tables do offer a sort button and a search button….they are starting to grow on me and I hope they grow on you. Please excuse our mess as we build UltimateMovieRankings into a pleasant viewing experience.
For comments….all you need is a name and a comment….please ignore the rest.
Great job!!!
Thank you wife….it is getting better every day.
Hey Bern1960….thanks for checking out our latest. The Awful Truth is one of the Cary Grant/Irene Dunne comedies along with My Favorite Wife. Penny Serenade is the Grant/Dunne drama about them losing a kid….I think that is the one you thought was sad…but I could be mistaken. It is going to be a long process but baby steps will get us there.
Interesting information for Irene Dunne – nice to know she was married one time. I remember a few of her movies – she was a good actress. The Awful Truth was a sad story but good. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. GOOD LUCK WITH THIS NEW PROCESS.
Thanks Steve…..you are the first person to comment on my new page. That can never be taken away…lol. You have me beat….I have only seen 6….all three of the Grant ones……Roberta, Life With Father and Cimarron.
So it is safe to assume that The Awful Truth is a good number one movie from the Cogerson Movie Score formula. The sort button will help when you do not agree with my rankings…you can rank the movies by critic and audience rating or box office. The table is not as clean as the older tables….but it seems easier to find the movie.
The 10 movies that did not make the rankings do not appear to be big box office winners….and none of the 10 picked up a Oscar nomination….maybe one day I will find some box office information on them. I Remember Mama was the last peak of her career…her last nomination and her last box office hit….I have not seen it either….I do believe that I have seen I Dismember Mama though….pretty sure they are two different types of movies. Thanks as always for your comment and visit.
Very nice indeed, I like the new layout. Easy on the eyes too. The ability to sort the tables out by box office, critics, Oscars etc is a cool idea.
Irene Dunne, I’ve seen 7 of the 31 films you’ve listed. Watched The Awful Truth again a few weeks ago, one of my favorite screwball comedies. Showboat is one of the classic musicals remade by MGM in the 1950’s. I have Cimarron but I haven’t seen it yet. I also have the remake starring Glenn Ford.
I haven’t seen any of the missing Irene Dunne films you’ve listed.
I Remember Mama no.1 on the critics table? Haven’t seen it. Did you know there’s a 70’s horror film titled ‘I Dismember Mama’? 🙂
Excellent work Bruce, keep em coming.
