James Gleason (1882-1959) was an Oscar®-nominated American actor.  Silva appeared in movies from the 1920s to the late 1950s.   Gleason’s career saw him play many “tough-talking, world-weary guys with a secret heart-of-gold.”.  His IMDb page shows 166 acting credits from 1922 to 1958.   3. I know my tally will not be impressive compared to others, but I have seen 13 of his movies. Including 7 of the Top 10. Favorites would be A Guy Named Joe, Here Comes Mr. Jordan and Arsenic and Old Lace. What a list of legends he worked with…Cary Grant, Gary Cooper, Clark Gable, Spencer Tracy, James Stewart, John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, William Holden, William Powell and Tyrone Power.
