HI BOB COX
Don’t pay too much attention to my habitual leg-pulling. The consistency of Bruce’s accuracy over so large and deep a site is astonishing.
HI BRUCE
They may still do it but certainly years ago it was a very popular gimmick with newspapers and magazines to publish material in which 4 or 5 mistakes were planted and ask you how many you could identify [eg “The Irish actor Laurence Olivier has made a new film”.] These competitions would go under headings such as “Spot the deliberate mistakes.”
I’m regularly still playing that game nowadays on this site but unfortunately you and Steve never seem to be able to spot my deliberate mistakes so I end up having to blow the whistle on myself ! !
Hey Bob…interesting. That seems like a good promotion for the newspapers….makes me wish my dad was still around to get his input on if any of the papers he worked for did the same. Interesting that you are “regularly still playing that game”…..sounds like an early alibi for future mistakes….lol.
The Bob, too polite or unable?
Hey Bob…as many mistakes as I make…I certainly can not pick with your errors….as the saying goes….don’t throw rocks when you live in a glass house.
