January 29th – Interesting Discovery At Cogerson House

So…Cogerson Kid #2 is about to leave the country and land in Steve Lensman’s backyard for 5 months of training for his new job.  Tonight was the last night we will see him for a very long time.  Well one of the things he needed was a suitcase….so my mom offered up one of her suitcases.  Well when we opened up the suitcase….we found some pretty interesting stuff….for you movie people….how about magazines from 1956/1957…with some movie greats on the covers.

    1. Hey Helakoski….they are older than me too….just not 25 years old…..try about 10 years older. Thanks for checking out our discovery.

  1. Very interesting and nostalgic cover reproductions Bruce. You’ll be making the self-styled “Creator”jealous!

    1. Hey Bob. I figured some of the UMR readers might get a kick out of the covers….I of course searched for box office grosses in the magazines…..lol.

      1. I wonder why it does not surprise me that you looked for grosses in those old magazines !
What’s the famous saying? – never look a gift horse in the mouth!

  2. Good luck, a lot of fun and lots of success to Cogerson kid #2!!!
Wonderful find in that suitcase! I like the Bergman and the Novak covers best! Never been a big fan of Danny Kaye, and although I like Grace Kelly in most of her movies, I never warmed up to her the way I did to the 2 other “Cover Girls”!

    1. Thanks Lupino. My eyes got bigger as I saw that stack of magazines. I love the pictures on the cover. I laughed when I read one of articles in the magazine. “Rock and Roll Battle: Elvis vs Pat Boone” I wonder who won that battle? …..lol.

I have a few requests for a Novak page….maybe I should get that page done. The rest of the Cover People have UMR pages already. Actually back in my Hub Pages days….the two you like the least of this group (Kaye and Kelly) had to share the same page….they got separated when we left that site. Thanks for checking out our interesting discovery.
