Jason Bateman (1969-) has become one of our favorite actors over the last few years.  Amazingly Bateman’s acting career is over 40 years old!  Bateman is one of the few successful child actors to succeed as an adult actor.  Bateman’s IMDb page shows over 85 acting credits since 1981. This page will rank Jason Bateman movies from Best to Worst in six different sortable columns of information. Television shows, shorts, cameos and movies that were not released in North American theaters were not included in the rankings.

Drivel Part: (That is what my wife calls this part of the page).  Seems like all of our recent pages have been classic performers.  So, we decided we needed to do a page on a current performer.  So, a quick look at our request page and we saw that Dan had requested Jason Bateman….so we put our Randolph Scott, Rita Hayworth, Peter Lorre and Claudette Colbert research on hold and did this page on Mr. Bateman.

  1. Love this guy and his sense of humor. Then he turns in some solid dramatic work. Bad Words at 18 ? Love that movie.

  2. I still think Teen Wolf Too was his greatest performance! 🙂

Bateman should have got rid of the ‘e’ in his surname, but than his chances of getting a role in a Marvel movie would have been very slim.

I’ve seen 16 of the 29 films you’ve listed, a lot more than I expected. I’ll bet you’ve watched them all Bruce, come on own up. [Bruce blushes]

I remember liking Juno but I don’t think I’ve seen it more than once. I have Hancock on blu-ray, a funny superhero spoof until the last half hour when it changes into something else.

Dodgeball was hilarious. What no sequel? Nice work Bruce. Voted Up.

    1. Hey Steve….nope I have not seen all of his movies….but I have seen the Top 23…and 24 overall. 16 very cool…..I thought it was going to be less. He has the “bad guy” role in Juno…..but I still liked his performance. To me….he is like Sam Rockwell…..no matter how bad a movie is….his presence makes it a little better. I agree with you about Hancock….the twist with Theron lands with a complete “thud”. I originally did not include Dodgeball….but a comment made me change my mind and include it. Thanks for the visit.

    1. Hey Katie….I agree he has lots of cool movies. He was really good in Juno….and he held his own with Will Smith and Charlize Theron….thanks for the visit.

  3. Not including Bateman’s role in Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story is a slight against his career and body of work. He has some of the most memorable lines in the film Cogerson. Ouchtown, population you bro

    1. Hey Anonymous….you will be happy to know that your comment got me to go ahead and add in Dodgeball to the table. I have only seen that movie once….but I will take your word that his performance was more than a cameo…..thanks for the visit and the comment.
