Best IMDb Trivia On Jennifer Garner
1. Jennifer Anne Garner was born in Houston, Texas in 1972.
2. As a college student, Jennifer Garner did summer stock theater. In addition to performing, Garner helped to sell tickets, build sets, and clean the venues. She was going to attend Yale University to study drama but got an acting job in New York City instead.
3. Jennifer Garner appeared with her ex-husband Ben Affleck in two movies: Pearl Harbor (2001) and Daredevil (2003). This would have been the third, but Affleck’s small scene in Elektra (2005) was deleted from the final film.
4. Early in the filming of Daredevil (2003), while doing a stunt, Jennifer Garner became tangled in the wires that were helping her do a flip; she nearly crashed into a wall from which she had to flip. Ben Affleck, rushed up in his Daredevil costume and grabbed her and pulled her away before she could hit it. She later commented, “It was like he was Superman.”. Affleck would eventually battle Superman in the movies.
5. Jennifer Garner is a co-founder of baby-food line “Once Upon a Farm”, which produces “farm-to-high-chair” quality meals for children.

I’ve seen 11 of the 34 films on the chart. Favorites are – Daredevil, Elektra, Peppermint, The Kingdom, Catch Me if You Can and Pearl Harbor.
I liked action girl Jennifer best as Sydney Bristow in the J.J. Abrams show ‘Alias’, an action packed series I’ve binge-watched twice so far.
Recently enjoyed seeing her back in action in ‘Peppermint’ a violent tale of revenge.
I haven’t seen her top rated film – Dallas Buyers Club – but I’ve read the synopsis.
Nice work Bruce. Vote Up.
Hey Steve. Thanks for checking out our Jennifer Garner page. Someone’s surprise you’ve only seen 11 of our movies. That is well behind my 26. But I still think you get to keep your movie buff card. Interesting that you have binged watched Alias twice. I have not even seen a single episode of that one. Sadly I think based on the box off his results of Peppermint , her action days might be behind her. You might be the only person that really enjoyed Electra. Too bad been Ben Affleck’s part got cut. Good stuff as always.
HI BRUCE
I see from your 11.15 pm post that you are like Joe McDoakes being put behind the 8 ball these days. It may interest you to know that in Belfast years ago we had an Agony Aunt columnist who used to advertise in the local papers “I buy sad stories”!
Sorry about that but you know I can never resist trying to pull your leg though I haven’t had a lot of success lately. Have you ever seen the McDoakes shorts which used to be progamme fillers here in the forties and early fifties along with the likes of newsreels and a main feature? There is a picture on the McDoakes Wikipedia page of Joe behind that 8 ball.
WIKIPEDIA
Joe McDoakes is an American short film comedy series, starring George O’Hanlon as Joe McDoakes. A total of 63 black and white live action one-reel short subjects films were made and released between 1942 and 1956. The Joe McDoakes shorts are also known as the Behind the Eight Ball series (called that for the large eight ball Joe appeared behind in the opening credits) – denoating that he was always under pressure from his troubles.
Hey Bob. Thanks for that information. I have never heard of Joe McDoakes before. Sounds interesting, when I have some time I will check that out. In the grand scheme of things, my problems are pretty small compared to others dealing with real crisis. For us the biggest problem is getting used to this new normal. Stay safe and healthy
HI BRUCE
Thanks for your feedback and best wishes. Please pass on my own to your family.
Certainly with clear memories of the antics of Joe McDoakes I am showing my age. We used to get all kinds of little programme filling shorts and even some involving mega stars which I haven’t been able to track down in any filmography anywhere over the years. For example
(1) One of my Jimmy sitting round a campfire with children at Christmas time chating with them and tellling them stories. He is dressed in a cowboy outfit and his horse is tied up nearby. I can’t remember its title but it turned up on television again. sometime in the 1960s
(2) Alexander Archibald Leach in “I found a Dog” about a 12 year old boy who loses his dog and Archie plays a pipe-smoking uncle who helps him find it. I have never seen it again since the early 1950s.
They may have been initiall made for American television.
And they’re all pretty good. Phyllis Coates who was Lois Lane on the first season of Superman in the early 50’s plays his wife in a number of them. Doris Day and Jack Carson are together in one of them.
unlike her ex, Jennifer Garner has never been on the Oracle of Bacon Top 1000 Center of the Hollywood Universe list; these are the actors on the list she has appeared with.

Hey Dan. Hope things are still going well in your area for you at least. Thanks for these lists of information on Jennifer Garner. I would’ve thought she was busy enough to make the top 1000. I imagine she has to be close as she’s been pretty bus. Looking at the first list, pretty amazed that very rarely does she have more than one movie with an Oracle costar. Looks like Judy Greer and Ben Affleck are the only two with two movies with her. Looking at the second list 29 Oscar-winning costars it’s not a bad total and all. Over the last year every time I saw one of her what’s in your wallet commercials, I thought she needed and an UMR page. So I’m glad she finally does. Good stuff as always.
I am not very familiar with Jennifer and all that I know about her are-
1/She is a political and social activist and is a strong supporter of and campaigner for the US Democratic party for example in 2002 filming a 30-second television advertisement for her childhood friend Corey Palumbo who was running as a Democratic candidate for the West Virginia House of Delegates. That’s certainly a demographic well worth fighting on the part of any politician!!
2/. On top of her big screen career she has appeared in 19 television productions between 1995 and 2018 and made one video game in 2005 in which she was the voice of Sydney Bristow and it was called Alias and based on that 2001/2006 series-see Bruce’s comments above.
3/IMDB credits her with 12 acting awards and 56 nominations; and her reported net worth is $80 million a lot of it generated by her success in Alias. Affleck is said to be worth $150 million.
4/Next for her are (1) at post-production stage the comedy movie Yes Days (2) at pre-production stage My Glory Was I Had Such Friends a TV series based on a life- saving heart transplant necessity (3) at pre-production stage a comedy musical Fantasy Camp about which the notes on IMDB suggest might be a big hit with a lot of people involved with this site! – “A middle school teacher pursues her Broadway dreams while attending a performing-arts camp for adults.” Jennifer is the top billed lead in all three of these future attractions.
Hey Bob. Thanks for checking out our Jennifer Garner page. I think she’s a bigger star here then she is internationally. That being said, her movie career is pretty good. Thanks for sharing all the additional information in your comment. Hope things are going well and good all Ireland.
Long long day….but cracked out another UMR page. Ms. Jennifer Garner. I have seen 26 of her movies or 77% of her movies. No idea I had seen that many of her movies. Favorites would include Daredevil, Catch And Release, Juno and Draft Day. I feel I also have to mention that DoC1 (Daughter of Cogerson #1) loved 13 Going on 30. I have probably seen or heard that movie at least a few dozen times. And now I go to bed…so I can repeat another long day tomorrow.
