PART 3: Despite relative brevity Steve’s Jessica video is very classy with much of that being due to the easy-on-the-eye Biel in various poses in both posters and stills – 98% rated by me and viewed twice already. BEST POSTERS in my opinion.

2/Shock and Awe
3/Emanuel
4/Home of the Brave
5/The Tall Man
6/Stealth
7/Playing for Keeps

10/two for Planet 51 – Hello!-Joel are you there?
11/Powder Blue

13/two for Total Recall
14/Cellular

15/The Illusionist.
Hi Bob, thanks for reviewing my Jessica Biel video, the generous rating, info and trivia are much appreciated. Happy you liked the picture gallery.
Bruce mentioned Biel in his comment on my Alba video so I gave him a hint that my next video will be another sexy Jessica. The next thing you know a new UMR page pops up. I wish I was that fast.
I think Cellular was the first film I noticed Jessica Biel in, or it could have been Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Like Alba she’s very easy on the eyes.
Biel has had good reviews for her work in the ‘limited drama series’ The Sinner, and picked up some award nominations too. I couldn’t include it in the video.
Like Alba there are no 10s or 9s in Biel’s filmography from my sources. There are three films scoring 8 out of 10 – Ulee’s Gold, Hitchcock and The Illusionist.
The Illusionist is tops at IMDB and my video chart, Ulee’s Gold is no.1 at Rotten Tomatoes and Bruce’s critics chart.
“It’s not my plan or whatever in my life to be a sex symbol. It never is. You are who you are, but you can’t help what you look like. And when you do a film, like for me, it’s just not about that. I would prefer to downplay it. I prefer to downplay the sex appeal.”
HI STEVE
Thanks for the feedback and the explanations and the interesting quote.
“Someday our looks will be gone.” Marilyn to Bernie Schwartz in a discussion between scenes on the set of Some Like it Hot. Sadly for MM even THAT day never came.
“Gather ye rosebuds while ye may.”

Hey Bob and Steve…good breakdown on Steve’s video from Bob. Good quote from Steve by Biel herself. As for quickness…2020 will be our most productive year for new pages….we are already closing in 150 for the year….I think around 200 is the most I have ever done in a year. I can not remember when I first noticed Jessica Biel….but I have now seen in her in most of her movies. Good stuff.
BRUCE and STEVE: Note how I have alternated the billing between this post and Part 1. I’m not the Work Horse: no favourites with me – every comment is a prisoner until I feel it has earned expression. My own general comments about Ms Biel are:
1/Wikipedia quotes 8 TV productions for her between 1996-2019; and 2 music videos as far apart as 2001 and 2018 the latter one involving Justin Timberlake.
2/IMDB credits her with 5 acting awards and 26 noms; and she has a reported current net worth of $18 million. By comparison Steve’s this week’s other Jessica [Alba] has 15 awards/41 noms and apparently a present whopping bank balance of $200 million – and to think that SHE is the one who remains Cogerson Unloved!
3/I have seen 5 of the Biel flicks listed by WH above: Ulee’s Gold; Cellular [in which the women out-acted some awfully hammy men!!] Total Recall; I’ll be Home for Christmas [a threat from Michael Myers?] Total Recall; and I Now Pronounce you Bruce and Stevie. I would like to see A Kind of Murder despite WH/Steve doing a Joel-type hatchet job on it with 51%/53% ratings respectively.
4/Nothing in the pipeline for Jessica Biel at the moment. However although The Work Horse’s tables above suggest her last big screen movie was in 2017 she hasn’t gone away as 10 episodes of the TV drama series Limetown finished airing last November and she is both the executive producer of that as well as its top-billed lead with Stanley Tucci as the male lead in 8 of the episodes. The production notes read
“Limetown follows Lia Haddock [Biel] a journalist for American Public Radio (APR), as she unravels the mystery behind the disappearance of over 300 people at a neuroscience research facility in Virginia.”
Hey Bob….thanks for the tally count, information on her net worth, his television roles and her awards. Tally count…22 for me, 12 for Steve and 5 for you. I think she has taken time away from movies to concentrate on her Limetown series and raising her child…though I think I read that she was pregnant again. Good stuff as always.
STEVE and BRUCE: I hope we have not entered a new phase where you two guys potentially sacrifice quality in a frenzied effort to beat each other to the punch with the latest thespian profile. [For example WH mentions interesting FACT above and then lists 5!]
I am reminded of my days in the Belfast Shipyard long ago when in order to curry favour with the foreman two men raced each other to work in the winter mornings each wishing to be first in so that he could light the foreman’s office fire. At times such was their haste that they could be a potential nuisance if not danger to other road users.
That said – Steve’s Jens having been replaced by his Jessicas; goodness we might get a run of Myrnas next! – the Cogerson/Lensman coinciding offerings on Jessica Biel ideally complement each other and it was nice to have new and solid corresponding grosses to consult along with watching Steve’s video entries. However Bob Cox and Flora and the rest of us viewers will NOT be rushed: we will respond in our own good time as is our custom.
Hey Bob…..Fact is now changed to Facts. On Saturday….I actually wrote and published 7 different pages…including 5 from Joel’s book…pretty sure…I caught my mistakes that day….so it can be done…lol.
Interesting story about the two foremen…luckily….nobody will get hurt here…lol. Speaking of Myrna…..added about 7 more movies to her page….she now has over 80 movies ranked…..thinking I can get close to 100 before I run out of movie to include.
Good stuff.
HI BRUCE: Thanks for the feedback. I have mentioned my perception of today’s thespians being allowed to grow awards in their back gardens. You must have discovered a formula for growing Thin Woman grosses in yours. They will no doubt be considered very valuable by you so no wonder you felt that you needed that new fence.
“Those who have nothing get less and those who have everything get more.” – Poor Jessica Alba!
“Cogerson July 8, 2020 at 10:29 pm Hey Bob…. I think I read that she [Biel] was pregnant again.”
Steve is nothing if not topical. If I recall correctly J Biel is pregnant in one of Steve’s stills in her new Lensman video – the one for New Year’s Eve I think.
That was fast work Bruce, I’m impressed. 🙂
Now where’s that Jessica Alba page as a companion piece? 😉
I’ve seen 12 of the 31 films on the chart, less than I thought. Favorites are – Blade Trinity, Next, Stealth, Cellular, Hitchcock, Planet 51, Total Recall, A-Team and The Illusionist.
We have different no.1s, Ulee’s Gold is tops on the critics chart and The Illusionist is no.1 on my video chart, and the UMR chart.
I saw the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre but don’t remember it much, it seems to be better rated than most horror remakes. Have to give it another spin.
I didn’t know Jessica Biel and Chris Evans were together at one time and had appeared in two movies, she’s now married to Justin Timberlake. I haven’t seen ‘London’ but ‘Cellular’ is a favorite, Jason Statham (Bob hisses) is the villain.
Good stuff Bruce. Vote Up!
Hey Steve….luckily…creating pages on modern stars does not take too long. The biggest time consuming activity is researching the world wide grosses….mainly because I for years did not bother to include those stats…..but finally I realized there were other people on the internet that were not from USA….I guessed it was my version of playing the Brando role in The Ugly American…lol.
Tally count. 22 for me and 12 for you.I have seen all of your favorites…listing three as my favorites on your YouTube channel. She actually does not have too many movies above 60% in our database…maybe the best is yet to come for her. I have not seen her Texas Chainsaw Massacre but it did really well at the box office.
She has had some pretty famous fellows in her life. I loved her IMDb trivia….it looks like she edited some of the trivia herself. Good stuff as always.
Hi Bruce, the UMR is a bit sluggish today, takes about 30 seconds for each page turn and I have superfast broadband. It’s sunday and everyone’s browsing maybe? Just wanted to say thanks for the video share. 🙂
Hey Steve….sorry about that….I will call my website provider….sometimes the delay is the beginning of bigger problems coming….and sometimes it clears itself up. About a week ago….the website was working for everybody but me….as my computer refused to load up my own website. Thanks for the headsup.
Beautiful Jessica B.
Great UMR Page.
Thanks Mike….just trying to keep up with Steve.
