Hey Flora. Thanks for the thoughts on Joanne Dru. Tally count: 8 for you and 5 for me…..but they are all in the Top 10. I have not seen 3 Ring Circus either. I have not seen any of your favorites…now that does not happen too often. I have seen 4 of your “other” movies….with Red River being my favorite Dru movie. Good stuff as always.
Remember the comedy team of Marshall and Noonan. They made 2 films, Marshall being Joanne Dru’s brother and Noonan being John Ireland’s half brother. Noonan then produced a couple of nudie films, Promises, Promises with Jayne Mansfield and Three Nuts in Search of a Bolt with Mamie Van Doren who will be 90 this year.
I actually saw Hannah Lee with Joanne in 3d at the old Thalia theater in the city. They had occasional 3D film days, saw Second Chance with Robert Mitchum and Drums of Tahiti with Dennis O’Keefe, both in 3D there.
Joanne was never on the Oracle of Bacon top 1000. These are the actors on the 2020 list she appeared with.

Hey Dan. Great information on Marshall and Noonan. The John Ireland/Joanne Dru connection keeps getting more getting put into my head. Before doing this page I did not even realize they had been married. She appeared in numerous 3D movies in the 1950s….none of them really registered at the box office. Looking at the first list, there goes Mr. Ireland again….4 movies together. One day he will have an UMR page as well. First list is actually pretty small compared to most thespians you create this lists for. Wow…only 14 Oscar winning co-stars! Who would have guessed Madonna had more Oscar winning co-stars than her? Good stuff as always.
Great UMR Page
Thank you Mike.
